Play 4 Days passSouthern California residents (zip codes 90000-93599) can purchase a new four-day ticket for just $79. The ticket is valid for four admissions to either Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure park, from June 1 and September 30. Residents can purchase just one ticket per person, per day, so your out-of-town relatives must buy their own, regular-priced admission. The tickets can only be used at one park each day no park hopping. We understand that you can use two admissions one to each park on the same day, effectively making this a $79 two-day park-hopper ticket, which is a $20 discount from the regular adult price. The tickets cannot be used at Disneyland on June 28, July 4, 5, and 26, August 2, 9, 16, 23, 29, 30, and 31. There are no blockout days for DCA. Tickets are non-transferable, and you must show a valid ID each time. These tickets can be applied towards the cost of a Deluxe or Premium Annual Passport (but not a Southern California Annual Passport), as long as you upgrade when or before you use the fourth admission. Military Discount TicketsActive duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retired, and DOD employees are eligible for discounted admission tickets to the Disneyland Resort. Purchase through your local MWR office. Prices vary, but single-day passes are usually about 20% off. Because of the various discounts and multi-day passes, it may be cheaper to use another admission media format. Note: Prices for a military ticket changes twice a year, and tickets have expiration dates. You must know when you plan to visit the park so that your ticket does not expire before your trip. Stars & Stripes no moreThere was a time several years ago when the military tickets were called "Stars & Stripes Passes." They were quite nice, actually. The front of the ticket had a full-color illustration of the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto) in their military uniforms. Unfortunately, Disney has done away with these and other special passes when they started phasing in the magnetic stripe card reader at the park entrance. These days, the passes look just like the regular park passes, with "Military Discount" printed on the back. ID checks no moreThe good news is that so far as we can verify, there is no military ID check at the entrance anymore. Feel free to sponsor your friends and family members; they can walk in without showing a military ID card. Disney's Armed Forces SaluteThrough Friday, December 19, 2003, all active members of the United States military (including Coast Guard and activated National Guard and Reservists) qualify for Disney's Armed Forces Salute and can claim one free 3-day park-hopper tickets. Since the tickets expire on December 19, you must claim them by December 17 to use all three day's worth. The passes can only be claimed at a park gate ticket booth. To claim the passes, valid military ID must be shown; activated National Guard and Reservists must also show their active duty orders. In addition to the one free pass, each qualifying person can also purchase up to five 3-day companion passes for $39 each. If the qualifying person cannot visit a park to purchase these companion tickets, a spouse may do so instead. Annual PassportsThe following info is for 2-park Annual Passes (which include admission to both Disneyland and the new California Adventure park, and some discounts on merchandise, food and hotel stays with minimum purchases). Single park (Disneyland only) passes are no longer offered. $25 Blockout Day Pass
$105 Southern California Resident Annual Pass
$165 Deluxe Annual Pass (Adults and Children)
$225 Premium Annual Pass (Adults and Children)
If you decide to purchase an Annual Pass (AP) after you begin your visit to DL, the cost of your current day's passport will be applied, even if you purchase your non-premium passport on a blackout day. (Special event passports may be excluded.) Vouchers for APs may also be purchased at Disney Stores, these are good for up to six months from purchase. On the first instance if losing / forgetting your pass in a Pass year, you get one "freebie" (This used to be once ever, as it was explained, and has been changed to once per Pass Year - not calendar year. And, they do keep a computer record of when you've had your freebie.) On the second instance, you have two choices: If you just forgot your pass, you have to buy a one day admission. If your pass has been lost or stolen, you pay $25 to replace it. However, you have to sign something stating that you have actually lost your pass, or produce a copy or a police theft report. If you've purchased a Premium AP voucher in advance, flashing it to the parking attendants on your way in will save you the parking fee. You must present your Premium Passport in advance prior to purchases in order to receive your discount. There are also a wide variety of differing dining, merchandise and hotel discounts offered to passholders throughout the entire resort, usually with some kind of minimum purchase. They change quite often, so it is best to call the annual passholder line at (714) 781-4567 for the latest info. Disneyland.com also has a special annual passholder section available too. Summer Annual Passholder specialThe first ticket promotion for summer 2003 is an Annual Passholder special. From May 21 to September 3, APs can purchase a 2-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper for $69 (10+) and $49 (3-9). Just present your AP at any ticket booth. Limit five tickets per Passholder, per day. Tickets are valid for 14 days from date of first usage. First usage must be on date of purchase. Last usage must be on or before Tuesday, September 16, 2003. Online ticket purchasesYou can now purchase tickets online directly from Disney at its Web site. Guided toursThere are now two different regular tours, [and a more expensive special one, details below] offered of the park. The length of the tour will depend on attraction wait time since you don't get special boarding privileges because of them. Also costs quoted do not include your regular admission price. The original guided tour is best for first or limited time visitor. It offers a good recap of park history and layout, and you see each of the lands. The Tour is only about two and a half hours in length now and only goes on three attractions. They're *usually* the Disneyland Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, and "it's a small world." Foreign-language and American Sign Language versions are available, but they must be scheduled in advance. The newer (and shorter at around two hours) Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour focuses on Walt Disney in particular, with a closer look at areas built and planned for while he was still alive. The guides work to make this a much more interactive tour - and do enjoy hearing trivia and history you may wish to share with them. If you've visited the park a lot already, you'll enjoy the historical aspect of it, and the terrific bonus offered with this tour at the end is a ride in the Lilly Belle, a private luxury caboose on the DL Railroad. [The Lilly Belle is down right now for rehab, maybe not coming back up until after summer, be sure to ask any CM about this if it's important to you.] Private versions of this tour are available, but they must be scheduled in advance. Both the above tours are priced each per person at:
For more info, or for groups over 15 and foreign language tours call in advance:
In the deluxe tour, you can invite up to nine others to join you for up to eight hours in a private tour of the park. You choose the route and attractions you want and the guide works with you in planning the day to also provide lots of trivia and historical facts. This tour is more suited for corporate clients or special events. [Keep in mind that groups larger than ten must add more guides for a extra fee, and that other fees are charged for both tours longer than eight hours and on cancellations.] This tour is priced per party of 10 or less, at:
They must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance by calling:
Finally, also for a small rental fee, an audiocassette tape tour is also available at City Hall. A refundable deposit is required. Credit CardsAMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, DISNEY & JCB CREDIT CARDSare accepted for admission and in the park for all purchases. Most admission media may be also be purchased at any Disney Store. With a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, tickets may also be purchased by mail with a check or money order at the following address:
