No names
are provided on the quotes, but many are easy to guess. These are
mosaics embedded in the cement. Two examples are offered below.
Besides the
views inside the complex, almost all of the balconies face out too,
offering views of the surrounding area and neighborhood. You can see the
Hollywood sign to the North (even on a hazy day like the one we took
photos on)...
...Disney's showcase
theater, the El Capitan across the street to the south (with its
adjacent entertainment center and Disney Store)...
...and the rest of
Hollywood (the view below is to the east, towards Hollywood and Vine and
the Capitol Records building).
The Hollywood Roosevelt
Hotel is located to the west on Hollywood Blvd. - the first Academy
Awards were presented in its ballroom.
