The complex
required demolition of the newer Chinese twin theaters that used to be
adjacent to the main Chinese theater. They were replaced by a new
sixplex, with the latest in technology. The warrior below is actually an
electronic ticket kiosk.

The sixplex theater lobby
is huge inside, and quite plush. If you've visited Radio City Music Hall
at any time in your life, you'll notice the resemblance in design below
(if not in scale).

The
Hollywood and Highland complex was designed with tourists in mind
- taking it to another level beyond what you would expect in a regular
mall. Below you can see some of the unique shops.
First up is the foreign
tourist only DFS Galleria. This duty free department store was full of
Japanese visitors the day we stopped by.

Every high end brand or
label is represented, with boutiques for Ralph Lauren Polo, Coach,
Vuitton, etc.

The regular souvenir shops
are unique to the complex also. The Chinese Theater has its own shop,
decorated with old film projectors and editing equipment (below).
