General Review-Writing Guidelines
MousePlanet
values your comments!
So do other readers. Therefore, before you compose your review please
take a moment to consider what you might include to maximize its appreciation
by others. Note also that our review policies follow closely the model
adopted by Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and other sites that routinely
collect customer comments. Thus, please be aware that we have adopted
a 100-line (roughly 1,000 word) maximum on submitted reviews. The recommended
length is 5 to 20 lines.
What to include:
Your comments should focus on the overall experience and quality of
the hotel, restaurant or service you are reviewing. How well did the
facility or vendor live up to its implied service or value. The best
reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a given hotel,
restaurant or service, but also why. Feel free to mention other venues
or service providers you consider similar, and how this facility or
service rates in comparison to them. Comments that are not specific
to the hotel, restaurant or service being reviewed will not be posted
on our site. Please be sure to include the following in your review:
Hotel Reviews:
Required:
· Date(s) of Stay:
· Type/Class of room (Standard, Concierge, Park View, etc.)
· Accommodations Review:
· Rate/Night (for your stay):
Appreciated, but Optional:
· Ease of Disney Park Access:
· Park Shuttle Comments:
· General Restaurant/Lounge Impressions: (Please submit a
separate Restaurant Review for more specific comments)
· Pool Description/Comments:
Restaurant Reviews:
Since the only way a more informed decision can be made by future
visitors is by a full description, we ask that you provide more than
just a sentence or two on the restaurant. Bad example: "The food
was great and the waiters very attentive. I'd eat there again."
Good example: "I ordered the house specialty (filet mignon) and
it was cooked perfectly, my partner ordered the chicken which was
rather dry but the orange sauce was good. We had heavenly flan for
dessert, and the wait staff was very attentive. Dinner for two including
wine was $40-50."
· Date of visit.
· Type of meal. (Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert,
Drinks only, etc.)
· While you will probably cover these points in your written
review, please also include a one-line rating of the following four
aspects of your visit: Service, Price, Food, Atmosphere
Ground transportation Services:
Ground transportation companies vary widely in the types of services
offered, so please be specific about the details of your experience.
Things to mention in your review:
· Date(s) you used the service.
· Destination. (Airport to hotel, airport to cruise port,
hotel to theme parks, etc.)
· What type of vehicle. (Sedan, limo, van, shuttle, bus,
etc.)
· How many people in your party and rate paid.
· While you will probably cover these points in your written
review, please also include a one-line rating of the following four
aspects of your visit: Price, Vehicle Comfort / Cleanliness, Driver
Future visitors will certainly appreciate any extra information you
can provide: how long was the trip to your destination; who paid for
parking / tolls (you or the driver); were car seats offered or available,
and at what cost; did you have to share the service with other customers;
were grocery stops included in your trip; how knowledgeable was the
driver.
What not to include:
Resist the temptation to comment on other reviews already posted on
the page. Please limit yourself to one trip or visit per review. For
restaurant reviews, each meal should be a separate review. For hotel
and ground transportation reviews, your review may cover your entire
stay. This information (and its position on the page) is subject to
change without notice. While we appreciate your time and comments, we
respectfully request that you refrain from including the following in
your review:
- Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks.
- Single-word reviews. Other readers want to know why you liked
or disliked the product.
- Comments focusing solely on the management / staff of the restaurant,
hotel or service.
- Phone numbers, mail addresses, URLs.
After your review is submitted:
All reviews submitted become the non-exclusive property of MousePlanet,
and may be edited, posted or deleted at our discretion. Posts that do
not include all of the requested information will be sent back to you
for correction and resubmission. Posts that are in violation of our
posting guidelines will not be posted.
Your e-mail address is required, so that we may contact you with additional
questions. You have three options to create an author byline to use
with your review. You may choose to use your name or MousePad name,
e-mail address, or a combination of these as your byline. If you choose
to remain completely anonymous, your review will not be posted.
