We went to the Magic Kingdom on a beautiful, but cold, sunny Saturday. The park was crowded. My family had been snacking all day but around 2PM I was hungry. Since my boys were not too hungry, we decided to eat at Toad Hall and try the fish and chips. They are not exactly British fish and chips that I remember from my visits to London, but they were very good. Malt vinegar was available but no tartar sauce. (My husband has informed me that tartar sauce is an American thing, not a British thing.) I did try it with mayo and it passed the test. The French like to put mayo on their fries so make sure you ask for ketchup if you are a fan. My youngest son saw that they offered chicken nuggets with fries so he got that as well. The fries were hot and crispy and large and flat, no skinny little ones. He pronounced the nuggets edible and polished them all off. The meal also came with apple sauce (which is what they serve at the hotels for breakfast) and a prize, which was Lion King stickers. My husband ordered they veggie salad and was quite pleased with it. It had a lot of veggies and salad greens. I can't tell you if the dressing was good since he doesn't like dressing. All in all, the food was very tasty.
The workers at Toad Hall were very nice and the atmosphere was cute. It was taken from Toad's story in The Wind and the Willows with pictures of Toad everywhere with an underlining hint of British decore. There is not a lot of seating in this restaurant, so if you go, try to go at an off time. I highly recommend this place.
