Fire & Ice In Gardenwalk 321 West Katella Ave

I have always been a fan of Mongolian BBQ so when I saw this restaurant in Gardenwalk I knew I would have to try it. This, however, is not your typical Mongolian BBQ. While you still select your food and take it in a bowl to the grill to be cooked, the choices lean towards more "western" type foods. Between the three of us in my group we had Philly Cheesesteaks, Pastas, Burritos, and a Quesadilla. However, when it was requested the cook said that he couldn't make a quesadilla since it was offered on the appetizer menu. Instead he offered to make a thin, folded, grilled, cheese burrito (looked just like a quesadilla to the untrained eye).
If you tell the host that it is your first visit he or she will walk you through the line and explain how everything works. At your table and posted on the wall behind the food line you will find examples of combinations to create various dishes. If the grill is not too busy the cooks can be very entertaining, joking with the customers and "playing with the food" (Benihana style).
Prices range from $9.95 to 16.95 for adults and $6.95 to $9.95 for children depending on the day and time, and certificates are usually available for this location at restaurant.com.
Overall the service was good, food was good (if you made good combination choices <G>), the atmosphere was quite nice, and the prices were very reasonable for all-you-can-eat.
My rating would be 4 planets out of 5. I will definitely eat here again.
