My family has stayed at the Parkside frequently over the last 4-5 years. With a large group or family it has provided the best inexpensive accomodations available within walking distance of Disneyland Park. It is true that Parkside has little to recommend it for atmosphere, but we have always found it clean though very worn, and have never seen a bug. It is a place to sleep, not a resort, and a short walk up West Street/Disneyland Drive to the Grand Californian provides an elegant entrance to the Disneyland Resort through that amazing lobby. They have several suites, many with kitchens having sinks & microwaves.

Like my mom said, we are only sleeping here, not living here. I think that line sums it up. We stayed here and it was the first time in a long time that we didn't have a key card to get in, we had a KEY?!? There was a mark on the floor that was from an iron that someone had left there, and the room had no remote control for the TV. But on the Brighter side, it is in walking distance of the DLR, so we didn't have to leave so early from the park. I'd stay here again, just based on the price, if you ask why, just look at my mom's statement above. :o)

Worst hotel room I have ever been in. Paint was peeling off the walls, killed roaches twice in the bathroom. Rooms were small and dirty. We left within a couple of hours to find another hotel. Would not stay here again. Thought it would be OK based on reviews we had read elsewhere and their claim it had been refurbished in 2002. If so, it has been ignored completely since.
