Although this is a counter service restaurant, the curries and the atmosphere set this place apart from the others here at Disney Seas. The restaurant is located in Arabian Coast. There are four different counters to choose your food from, noodles, shish kababs, tandoori chicken or indian curries. My favorites are the tandoori chicken and the indian curries. Being a fan of Indian food for the longest time, I just had to see if they were authentic. To my surprise, they were!!!
Meals including a drink will run you between 800 to 1000 yen. If you include a salad(The Mimosa Salad is the best), add another 300yen.
The tandoori is spiced very authentically and comes with a sliced of Nahn(Indian Bread) and spiced Indian rice. If you prefer curries, I suggest the combination plate which comes with three different curries(shrimp, lamb and chicken), a slice of Nahn and white rice. Delicious!!!
There are several eating areas to choose from and each area is themed to perfection. You can eat in an Arabian palace room, an Arabian courtyard where you can people watch, look at the two story Arabian carousel and the intricate Arabian architecture, or a more rustic looking area decorated with Persian carpets and intricate overhead lamps.
I would NOT recommend the noodles. They made it to suit Japanese tastes,but even the Japanese don't seem to like it and I think they are about to change the menu there. The shish kabobs are not recommended either. They always seem to be cold and a bit on the dry side. The pita bread they come with are very bland and dry. The best dessert here is the Coconut Custard.
I will be going again next week!!!
