This is the third time I visited this Japanese themed seafood restaurant in the New York Harbor area of Disney Seas. The restaurant sits over a large span of water. There is inside seating and outside seating. If the weather is fine and warm, outside seating is recommended. You feel as if you are in San Francisco or some other beautiful pier. During our visit in March it was freezing cold so we ate inside. The interior is decorated like a fish market. It looks very authentic without the smell.

The food is a mix of traditional Japanese and fusion Japanese.

For appetizers, we had the Miso Clam Chowder which was filled was shrimp, clams and some vegetables. It was quite good and very interesting. We also had the grilled fish salad which was very good. Interesting textures of the crispy grilled fish, citrus dressing and japanese greens with crunchy Japanese daikon radish. Very recommended. For the main course, we ordered the Chirashi Sushi which is a big plate with assorted fish on sushi rice. It comes with a dipping sauce to dip the seafood into and this was probably the best thing I ate at Disney Seas. The Tempura platter was very crispy and good. It's not authentic Japanese, but more Americanized(very crispy) to match the theme of the restaurant. (The restaurant is supposed to be owned by a Japanese American in New York). The best dessert was the Sakura cheesecake which is a creamy cheesy concoction infused with the essence of cherry blossoms! Very delicious indeed!

My other recommendation is the Cold shabu shabu platter which comes with paper thin slices of beef quickly cooked in boiling broth until medium rare, fresh cooked Japanese vegetables, a dipping sauce for the ingredients, and a large serving of Japanese udon noodles with dipping sauce and condiments. If you have a difficult time making up your mind, you might want to try to Sakura Special Meal which is a full course menu of the season.

On busy days, priority seating is highly recommended.
