Our group took the Keys to the Kingdom Tour on our most recent trip to WDW. I had heard such wonderful comments about this tour and I was quite excited to be apart of it.

I must say that this tour is quite long (5 hours with a 20 minute lunch). The tour began at 9:00 (there are 2 other start times 8:30 and 9:30). You do get to go backstage and explore the utilidors, our tour ended near the start of the 3:00 parade so several cast members were coming in and out of makeup so it was quite exciting to see them and see that they are just as happy and excited backstage as they are onstage.

On the tour we rode 2 attractions, Jungle Cruise and Mansion and got to hear all of the details behind the "magic" if you will. The parade barns were extremely interesting and you get to see behind the facade of Splash Mountain. We also got to view the Disney trash process and how it is compacted and shot across property in chutes, and all trash is actually sorted BY HAND for recycling!

Our guide was very detailed and gave us quite an insight into the history of the park, and even included a tear jerking story of opening day at the Magic Kingdom.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't mind enriching the magic in their lives a little more. I didn't view this tour as a magic spoiler rather it made me appreciate the magic just that much more!
