Monorail Trip through Disney's California Adventure (page 4)

Visit the SUPER PANORAMA PAGE and SUPER PANORAMA PAGE 2 for larger views of the Paradise Pier section of the new park.

Photos in this new section were taken 1/4 by Karl Buiter using a Sony TRV-900.  Some older shots were taken 12/3 by Al Lutz using a Mavica with special assistance from David Lane on another Mavica and Bruce Bergman with a regular film camera. All shots are of California Adventure and were taken from the monorail.

As you pass another obstruction along the Monorail route, you see the first elements of Condor Flats as the Monorail glides alongside the California Soarin' IMAX building.  Here we see the Fly and Buy, a store, and the Rite-Flite Center, one of the few bathroom facilities available in the park.

Here is a better view of the Fly and Buy, an aviation souvenir shop.

One of the first things this parks allows (which no other Disney park has done before) is give you clear across views from one end to the other. No mystery or magic here - just the whole enchilada in one view. In this 12/3 picture, we see to the left (in the checkered building) is the Grill, the walls (and orange framework) are in front of the IMAX ride film building, you can see the plane (which did not appear on our latest photo pass) peeking out from the middle of the walk way. Doesn't this look like Knott's to you? Where the Supreme Scream is located at?
