Now let's take a look at the Acorn Shop and
hotel convention facilities...

The Acorn Shop (above and below) seems heavy
on high-profit clothing - and has a small area devoted to normal hotel
gift shop items

Walking past the shop - we take a right into
the Meeting / Convention wing of the hotel - at the far end of this
corridor is the business center. By the way, there's a reason the
ceiling is lowered as you can see on down the hall there...

That's because this is where the monorail
comes through! The view below is from the windows on the right of the
photo above. It's been speculated that in the future a Monorail stop for
the hotel could still be added - this area would make the most sense for
it.

At the end of the hallway above, after you
pass underneath the Monorail track, you make a left into the lobby for
the larger ballrooms (which are behind the doors to the right)

You can see the front of the hotel (below)
from the windows (on the left) above - the carnival area of the new park
is visible to the far right.
One thing I did notice that seems poor
design - any equipment that would need to be rented for parties or
events to be held in the pool area has to unload right in front of the
hotel (to the right of the area below). It looks bad to see so many
Abbey Rents trucks out in front of such a first class place such as this
- they should have planned some other way to allow this kind of access
out of view

This is the large ballroom (below) behind
the doors (on the right) from two shots above. As is to be expected,
walls roll in and out depending on how much of the room is to be booked
