Accommodations Review:

Due to a number of circumstances, we were upgraded from a standard room to a suite (we were supposed to have a Concierge upgrade with a limited mobility restroom -- as these rooms were all unavailable, we were given the option of the suite (7th floor, Marina Building, Pool View Corner Room). Since the visit was off-season, however it was during Christmas time, the decorations were in full bloom at the resort (still under major construction) as well as at the Park (DL only). I have *ALWAYS* Said, that if MONEY was no object, I would never hesitate to stay anywhere but at a Disney Resort. The level of service, theming, convenience to the park(s), etc. cannot be beaten. Everything from the housekeeping to the room service, the front desk, the concierge lounge, even the tram (every 2-3 minutes a new tram was there -- none of this "Every hour on the half-hour" hike to an overcrowded bus.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

LOCATION; Great Price available; all the amenities

Room # and Location Description:

7th Floor, Marina Building; Corner Suite overlooking the Pool Area (Hooks Point et al).

Room Location Pros & Cons:

FABULOUS ROOM. 2 Balconies -- plenty of space (even with 3 adults and a 4 year old)

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

There was some confusion in our reservation and hence this is why we were upgraded to the suite. The staff at the Concierge Desk were very helpful in taking care of our needs.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Due to Downtown Disney Construction the Monorail was not in service during our stay. Tram service was adjacent to the Marina Tower -- so we had about a 3 minute "commute". Tram stop was closest to the main entrance, so it was very convenient.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Goofy's Kitchen -- Great Breakfast/Lunch Buffet (we arrived around 10:30, so we made it for the Lunch transition). Snack bar -- several "quick" meals (Burgers, Chicken Nuggets); Had one meal via Room Service (as a treat). This was GREAT -- really made us feel that we were being pampered!

Pool Description / Comments:

N/A

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Look for any available deals (AP, Seasonal, etc) for a discount (you might have to call the Hotel directly as opposed to using a travel service (even Disney Travel)). Always ask for upgrades if they are available. They'd rather fill the hotel than see it go empty.

Other Comments:

If Money is no object, then there's no question. Stay at a Disney Resort. If money is a part of the equation -- skimp, save and stay at a Disney Resort. In My Opinion, the convenience and amenities all add up to a BEST POSSIBLE vacation experience.
