Accommodations Review:

Requested upper floor, Marina Tower, Pool view. Very accommodating in this.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Stayed here in the past and loved it. Thought about staying in the new Grand Californian, but was quoted three hundred dollars over what we did pay. Parking was across the street.

Room # and Location Description:

2608, 8th floor, pool view (South Side) Marina Tower Excellent. The upgrade made recently only added to our enjoyment of the facilities.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Excellent

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Easy as can be. If you opt for it your checkout is automatic with a credit card. You are even able to extend check out if you call the desk on the date of departure and they have room.

DLR Transportation Comments:

This turned out to be a sore point. Express entry into the park was by Monorail. The hotel tram has been discontinued. For what reason, I can only guess. Is it to get guest to walk through Downtown Disney and maybe spend a few more dollars in the shops?

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Goofy's kitchen for brunch. Way out of line compared to fare outside. Two adults and a four year old child cost Fifty-four dollars. Until this time I had never paid over thirty six dollars for a buffet meal.

Pool Description / Comments:

My wife and grand daughter enjoyed this twice. I think it was our grand daughters best part of the trip, as it was her first trip to Disneyland

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you can afford it go ahead. There are cheaper places, but less convenient. If you don't mind the walk to the parks. Guest parking is convenient, as it is on the convention center roof and escalators are handy although narrow for oversized suitcases.

Other Comments:

I have noticed that the cost of everything associated with Disney seems to be going into the stratosphere. One nice touch was a coffee mug purchased when we arrived for six or seven dollars was good for free refills for free. This also applied to carbonated beverages as well. Very handy as we used a similar offer in Disneyworld this past winter over New Years. They offer two style mugs. One just a plain one with the Coffee logo on it, the other had the standard characters on it. Both were of the thermal variety, but no handle. Still a good deal though if you take advantage of it.
