Accommodations Review:

Beautiful! We upgraded to include the concierge service which entitles you to a continental breakfast including fresh fruit, plain croissants, chocolate covered croissants, bagels, muffins, cold cereal, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, tea, etc. It also entitles you to wine/cheese time from 5-7PM, snacks at mid-day, and bedtime stories w/milk and cookies at 8:30PM. The design of the whole hotel is inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of early 1900 California. The attention to detail is amazing. The hotel has a tour once per day (available to hotel guests) and it is well worth taking. There were 5 of us, and the room had one queen bed and a bunk bed with a trundle. All of the mattresses were comfortable. The kids loved the bunk bed/trundle combination.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

It is close to home for us and we are already dual park annual Passholders, so we weren't paying for airfare or admission. We could afford to splurge on the hotel. Besides, with 3 children, I didn't want the hassle of traveling by air or a long road trip.

Room # and Location Description:

6416. Park view looking at Grizzly Peak and the Grizzly River Run ride. Very nice view, day or night. Quiet.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Pros: great view. Cons: more expensive than a non-view room.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

My husband parked the car and as I walked in to register, a concierge came running in to the hotel behind me, calling my name! She showed me to the 6th floor concierge lounge where I checked in and was treated to refreshments.

DLR Transportation Comments:

No transportation necessary to get to California Adventure, just walk out of the hotel. To get to Disneyland, walk out of the hotel to Downtown Disney and make a short walk to the main gate, -or- take the Downtown Disney walk to the monorail, and it will take you inside Disneyland to Tomorrowland.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

I didn't eat at the hotel, but my friend has eaten at the Napa Rose several times. It is pricey and elegant. If you're going to eat at either the Napa Rose or the Storyteller's Cafe, I recommend going on the Art of the Craft tour beforehand so that you can appreciate the decor.

Pool Description / Comments:

They have a nice pool with several slides. Plenty of towels are available by the pool, and waiters come by to ask you if you need anything.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Bring your walking shoes and casual clothes (you don't even have to dress up to eat at Napa Rose).
