First, if you couldn't find it here, I would appreciate it if you would click on this link and send me a message to tell me what's missing.  I'll do my best to "fill in the blanks" as soon as possible.

Rate / Night (for your stay):

Unsure as it was part of a package. Got a 10% discount off the room of $60 so I would assume the room was $300 per night! ;)

Date(s) of Stay:

3/02/01--3/04/01

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

The room was not big by my standards (Typical for Disney's newer deluxe resorts) but it was a very nice room. The décor was slightly woodsy and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable and pillows were full and plentiful. The bathroom was very nice and included a wicker basket for used towels and a coffee maker ( another unusual twist for a Disney Deluxe hotel. The room was incredibly quiet and insulated from outside noise. Voices still echoed down the hallways outside the entrance door. There was plenty of space to put the luggage and a nice double (mirrored) door closet.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

I love Disney's themed resorts and wanted to try the first one at Disneyland. The convenience of location was also a factor as well as being able to get ultimate park hopper passes.

Room # and Location Description:

Room 3311 was located in the monorail courtyard. We had a view of the rooms across the courtyard and a could see through the small opening in the courtyard into Downtown Disney. The monorail passed within 20-30 feet of our room.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

We were fairly close to a bank of elevators that were near the DCA entrance. Time from our room into DCA was less than a minute!!!!

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was a breeze as no one was in front of me when we arrived. Very beautiful check in area and great service at the front desk, bell services and valet.

DL Transportation Comments:

Didn't use as the entrance to both parks was so close.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We had lunch at the Storytellers Cafe and enjoyed it very much. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere.

Pool Description / Comments:

The pool was nice enough but it was too cold (for us) to utilize. The pool was not quite as imaginative as some of the resort pools at WDW though the area was pretty and you could view some or the rides from Paradise Pier. I believe it would be a nice area to spend some time when the weather is warm or hot.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you have the budget, go for it. It is more convenient to DCA and Disneyland than any hotel in WDW is to the parks in Florida. Since we had Ultimate Park Hopper passes and could enter Disneyland and DCA numerous times on any day we usually went to Disneyland via DCA as the Downtown Disney Route was a touch out of the way for us.

Other Comments:

This is a beautiful (though I don't care for the outside quite as much as the interior) hotel that rates with All the deluxe hotels at WDW. The location is excellent and the service was very good. Pamper yourselves and do it!!!!!!!!!
