Accommodations Review:

The rooms are a decent size. We had 2 queen beds, an armoire with TV and honor bar, table, 2 chairs. Closet included bathrobes, iron/ironing board, and portacrib. Bathroom area had 2 sinks, toiletries, hairdryer.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We usually stay at the DLR but wanted to try this one out since it was new.

Room # and Location Description:

Room 6114. Located on the 6th floor (concierge level), fairly close to the elevators. This is a standard view room with a view of the interior courtyard and the monorail track. Very quiet - not able to hear much except an occasional whoosh from the monorail passing through.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

I have heard that some rooms are very far from the elevators, and seeing how the hotel is laid out, I can see why. We were located pretty close to the elevators, which was handy at the end of the day when our feet were tired. The only con is that it wasn't a view of the park.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was pretty fast. We arrived at about 10:30 at night so we didn't run into any crowds. For checkout, we had left a credit card, so we received a bill under our door the last morning. We were charged $2 for water that we did not take from the bar (we had moved things around to make room for our own drinks). I didn't argue over it because they had also not charged us for 3 days of valet parking :) I think I came out ahead.

WDW Transportation Comments:

We took the monorail once, but it's closer to walk directly to the parks. The walkway to DCA is especially nice.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We ate at the Storyteller's Cafe for breakfast twice, and picked up some snacks from the Whitewater Cafe. We also had room service the 1st night and it was fast and yummy.

Pool Description / Comments:

Did not use, but saw a lot of families using it. It was unseasonably warm the 1st day of our stay.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

This is definitely a deluxe resort. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is first-rate. If you are curious about it and it is within your budget, definitely try it. Having said that though, we probably won't stay here again. It is a bit pricey for me and the inside of the rooms isn't that much different from the DLR which is less expensive and only a bit further walk.

Other Comments:

We had requested a theme park view room (DVC points didn't guarantee any view though), and were told upon check-in that since the theme park view wasn't available, we were being upgraded to concierge level. I wish they had specified that the room was on the concierge level but that we did not get concierge level services. I went in to grab some coffee and breakfast in the morning and they looked up our room number and told me that we could not partake.
