Accommodations Review:

The room was smaller than expected, but still comfortable for my family of four. The closet was equipped with a baby crib and a safe. This gave me peace of mind as I stored some expensive items I did not want to take with me into the parks. The bathroom has two sinks which makes getting ready in the morning a lot easier. Beds are very comfortable and pillows are great. I brought my own from hoe thinking that the hotels pillows would be comfortable, I was wrong. the pillows I brought never even got used.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

I chose this hotel due to its location within the resort. everything was within walking distance. my family and I never had to use the trams or the monorail.

Room # and Location Description:

#4141 with a view of downtown Disney. Its a nice view to sit and people watch down in DD. also you could see the firework show from our room.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Pros: the people watching and the free firework show. Cons: My husband and I like to sleep with a window open. In this case we attempted to open the sliding door. the noise from DD was too loud for us and we had to close the door for us to fall asleep. But the air conditioning works just fine to cool the room down. Unfortunately My husband and I like to sleep with a window open. In this case we attempted to open the sliding door. the noise from DD was too loud for us and we had to close the door for us to fall asleep. But the air conditioning works just fine to cool the room down. Also, the nearest elevators were down a long hallway.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

We came in on a Thursday at about 5:00 pm and it wasn't that busy. they staffed the front desk well and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. We also used the assistance of a bellman who was very helpful. he explained everything about the hotel (the pool hours, restaurants, services, directions, etc.) he knew the answers to all of our questions (even though I read them here on MousePlanet I went brain dead when I arrived at the hotel). He also went so far as to learn the names of my whole family and always addressed us whenever we saw him throughout our stay. This was to me the best bell service I have ever received. Checking out though was different. I checked out around check-out time 11:00 and it was a mess. bell services and valet were backed up. also there was a line at the front desk, but I had express check-out so I didn't have to deal with that.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Never had to use:)

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

I love the storytellers cafe. it was very nicely priced for the product I received. Whitewater snacks it alright if you are looking for something on the go. The hearthstone lounge, on the other hand is just an ordinary lounge. nothing special there.

Pool Description / Comments:

the pool was very clean and fun. my 9 and 12 year old loved the slide and my husband and I loved to just relax and soak up the sun.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you have the budget, DO IT! the location can't be beat and the service is great. The hotel is beautiful and picture perfect (A possible family Christmas photo could be taken there, mine was). I had a great time and hopefully you will to.

Other Comments:

If you go on Grizzly River Run and get soaked just go right on back to the hotel and change. it's so convenient. lastly, be sure to be ready to tip. the service is so good I couldn't resist being a generous tipper. I'm not right for me to tell you how to tip, but I just was blown away by the service (I gave my check-in bellman $20.00 and I remember his name too). Please E-Mail me if you have any questions and I might just have an answer.
