Accommodations Review:

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very quiet and comfortable. The room was slightly Disneyfied with Mickey prints on the wall in the bathroom and a Donald Duck print in the bedroom. The bedspreads had Mickey heads blended into the pattern. My sister commented that the room was a bit masculine. There are no flowered fabrics anywhere and the furniture design was contemporary. I liked it. The room was not as big as at the Disneyland hotel though my brother had a room that was next to the glass elevator and had an angled wall that the beds were against making for more room.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We wanted to try the hotel having stayed at the Disneyland hotel twice and the price was lower than usual.

Room # and Location Description:

We were on the 13th floor over looking DCA. It was a great view. We couldn't hear anyone else in any of the rooms but a slight bit of traffic noise still made its way up there.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was crowded and took about 20 minutes to get to the desk. Once there it was very fast and the CM gave us our location request and even set up a room for my brother who was arriving later.

Disneyland Resort Transportation Comments:

The tram stop had been temporarily moved and was a very long walk. It was almost a close to walk to the monorail. Trams were always available to and from the park. We didn't have any wait.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Walked over to Hooks Point at the Disneyland Hotel for dinner. Was a nice atmosphere, pleasant wait staff and great food. Also walked over to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. It was fun and very good. Didn't eat at the Paradise Pier hotel except at the coffee bar for pastries which were decent but not spectacular.

Pool Description / Comments:

It was very cold while we were there. The 5th floor rooftop pool is okay looking but not themed or particularly great looking. However the pool deck is large and we watched Believe... There's Magic in the Stars from there and it was a great spot. We had a couple chairs and set them by the end of the deck and it was quite comfortable and only 9 other people showed up.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Try to get a view of DCA. It was pretty spectacular. Ask for one of the odd shaped rooms near the glass elevator ( Couldn't hear it) and you will have more floor space.

Other Comments:

While we enjoyed this hotel and the view was great it wasn't quite " Disney " enough for us. We like the Disneyland hotel much better as the rooms are bigger and there is more to stroll around and look at. Sister liked the rooms at the Candy Cane Better and I would rate them equally just with different attire.
