Date(s) of Stay:

March 27-29, 2001

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Included a fridge, coffee maker and hairdryer. There was a hole in one of the interior walls where a bolt or something was mounted in the wall. Room had what were described as two queen sized beds, and if this is true, then queens must be a lot smaller in Anaheim than where we live.

Television gets all of the local channels, plus all of the Disney owned channels (Disney, Toon Disney, ESPN, etc.) plus several channels devoted to local resort ads and information.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Room was not ready at check-in and would not be ready until 3:00. CM was helpful and (as it turned out) the room was ready at 2:00. Bell captain was extremely helpful with our check out, holding our luggage and securing transportation to the airport for us.

WDW Transportation Comments:

The shuttle bus was never there when we were ready for it, nor was there any notice of where to catch it or when to expect it. Walking to the parks via Downtown Disney was very convenient, as was the walkway to the Paradise Pier gate at DCA.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Only ate at PCH for breakfast and dinner. PCH is a madhouse at breakfast and service is a bit uneven. Character breakfast has exactly two characters. Breakfast is buffet and the choices and quality were excellent. Dinner was extremely relaxed, with few diners in the restaurant. Meal quality at dinner was good.

Pool Description / Comments:

Average sized rectangular pool. No theming or lifeguards. Plenty of clean towels and life vests (for the children).

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you can get a good deal on this hotel, go for it. The little extras, like the private gate into the park, make it worthwhile.
