Believe: There's Magic in the Sky
"Believe: There's Magic in the Sky" is a fantastic
fireworks display! I've never seen some of the effects: slowly twinkling
golden bursts, bright rows of star shells, explosions of round colors, slowly
bobbing and weaving flecks of light. It was masterfully done, and well
coordinated with the music. The appearance of Tinkerbell, a carryover
from the venerable "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks show, remains a wonderful
touch.
This is a not-to-be-missed show. Very well done and very much worth
the brief wait time to see. To give you an idea of how this is being
received by Disneyland's guests, I'll paint a picture for you...On the night
we watched the show, we arrived at the hub from Adventureland. As we
pulled into the plaza area, we could see all of Main Street jammed with people
standing shoulder-to-shoulder facing the castle. It was a weird sight.
I've never seen so many people, waiting so intently, all facing the same
direction, and all so closely spaced -- each one waiting diligently for the
fireworks to begin.
Believe is displayed every night
that the park is open late. Lately, it's been running at 9:30pm, which
means that it is a bit later than the evening run of the 45th Anniversary
Parade.
