The key advantages this motel features is location, location, location!
The crosswalk to Disneyland leads directly into the Park Place's driveway,
you can't get much closer than that, in fact most of the time I've
had to walk farther when I parked my car in the old Disneyland parking lot. |

The amenities are what you would expect from a Best Western, I stayed
in what I imagine to be a mini-suite, it featured one king bed and a couch
separated by a tiny micro-wall (about 4 feet high by 5 feet long.)
The TV service is typical for hotels in this area, about 6 free channels,
and pay per view featuring fairly recent Movies (most of which are still
probably in the dollar theaters) and adult films, both are 8.95 each. The
pay preview system also features Nintendo games for 8.95 per
hour The hotel tacks on 75 cents to all phone calls even 1-800
calls, and the phones do not have a data port. The bathroom has a separate
vanity that is out in the open on the opposite side of the room, there is
no closet to speak of just a shelf and empty floor space next to the vanity.
Other amenities included a coffee maker and coffee.
I found the rooms to be very clean
and well kept, some noise could be heard from the upstairs as well as the
parking lot outside, but that is common for this type of motel layout.
Some people may not like the fact there is no privacy in the vanity
area. The only annoyances I ran into were the complete lack of water
pressure in the shower and the fact you could not turn the TV off with the
remote control.
The doors
triple lock and use a standard house key for the front door. A uniformed security guard visibly patrols
the parking lot at night.

Upon check-in the first clerk I talked to appeared
downright rude (however that may have just been my perception since I was
very tired) Their check-in time is 3 pm, and I had arrived around noon,
I asked the clerk if there were rooms, and he immediately came back with
you can't check in until after 3. I have a hard time believing that
they had not one single clean room by noon and an even more difficult time
believing the gentleman I talked to knew the status of every single room
in the hotel without referring to a single thing. I stepped away for
a moment and then asked another clerk if it would be ok to leave my car on
the premises while I waited for a room. She happily pre-registered
me, and upon hearing that I had driven straight there after a graveyard shift
at work, she promised to get me a room as quickly as possible. I found that
most satisfactory, however the first impression is the lasting one. |
