Nice maintained shuttle with friendly drivers. It came about
every 15 minutes to and from the park. It is also within easy walking

Accommodations Review:

The room we stayed in was nice. Two queen beds, cable TV,
separate bath and vanity (nice in the morning when people are getting
ready to go) and fridge. Hot water with good shower water pressure. Cute
wakeup call with Disney music and on time! The complex was quiet-although
the stairs were a little noisy with kids running back and forth-but that
was only when everyone was "powering up" for their day in the
park! |
Rate/Night (for your stay):
|
$79-85.00/night They do offer packages with Disney Vacations
and through the hotel. I used my Magic Kingdom Club card and got a great
deal on 3 nights with shuttle transfers from LAX and 5 day flex passports. |

Pool Description/Comments:

Nice, smaller sized pool with garden-like surroundings.
Sitting in the hot tub after a long day at the park was a treat and very
relaxing. |

My fiancé and I really enjoyed this hotel! It is smaller,
but has a wonderful gardenlike atmosphere surrounding it. The pool area
(with hot tub) is in the center of the complex and also has wonderful
plants and flowers all around. The big surprise about this hotel was the
complimentary breakfast-something we had heard about on the web...It is
amazing! Not your standard sweet roll and coffee-but bagels, fresh fruit,
dry cereals, oatmeal, juice, milk, and croissants. It is served in their
breakfast room next to the pool area. They set up tables in the pool area
for eating. It not only saved us money on a meal, but it gave us a healthy
start to a busy day in the park. We often took some fruit with us or left
some in the room's fridge for later. Our advice-get there early, it gets
busy as the morning goes on...
I regret that when my mom and I went last November (1998), it was
already booked up (in August)! We stayed in the disappointing Carousel Inn
and Suites .
My fiancé and I like the Candy Cane so much, we're staying there again in
November for our 1999 trip! We chose this hotel over Howard Johnsons's,
The Carousel Inn and Suites, and all the Best Western hotels! In fact,
next to the DL hotel, this is the only place we'll stay!
Candy Cane Inn is a nice hotel with great complimentary breakfast-we
love it's beautiful plants and small unrushed feel. We almost forgot we
were in the middle of Anaheim during construction, which is a feat in
itself! The short walk to DL was nice and easy to do-even after a long day
of walking. The staff was helpful and polite. This hotel, to me, is like
staying somewhere out of New Orleans. Lots of wrought iron and delicate
flower baskets, plus plants anywhere there isn't concrete (nice for So.
Cal).
