What an incredible experience! The hotel is located at the
corner of Ball and Harbor across the freeway from Disneyland.
A quick word of advice, join Holiday Inn's Priority Club, at
this hotel you get many benefits. I checked-in at 2:30pm. My
benefits for being a priority club member were 2 free
breakfast coupons ($6 value each), a free drink at the bar,
special parking, late check-out (2PM) and a morning paper. I
tried to get the Priority Club automatic suite upgrade (you
get upgraded to a suite if it is available, no extra charge),
but none of the 2 suites were available. The room was similar
to a mini-suite at most other hotels consisting of a living
room (with couch, chair and table) on one side of the
half-room divider. On the other side, a king size bed, desk
and television w/remote. The room had a coffee maker (I had
room service bring up fresh cream), hairdryer, iron, ironing
board, clock radio and TV. It was very clean. Pay per view
movies and video games were also available. Each floor had an
ice machine and vending machines. There was laundry facilities
as well as a video game room. In the hotel was a tour
operator, an ATM and a sundries/gift shop. One of the coolest
part of the stay is that you can see into Disneyland from this
hotel. At night, I watched the Believe fireworks from the top
(5th) floor. They were so close as you are right across the
I-5. |

Restaurant/Lounge Review: |
Poppy's the restaurant is fine as far as Holiday Inn
restaurants go. I had room service the first night there. I
ordered the baby back ribs and chicken combo. It arrived
quickly with a salad. The salad was nicely done, not just
iceberg lettuce and some dressing. This salad had cheese,
bacon bits, croutons, tomatoes, greens and onions. It arrived
very quickly. For breakfast (using my $6 coupon), was very
nice. The only drawback was the hours of the bar which opened
at 5pm and was pretty stingy on the portions. |

The pool facilities were wonderful! Set in a tropical

plenty of tables and lounges, hot tub and outdoor showers.
Fresh towels are available poolside. |
