This motel was recommended because it is an inexpensive alternative. It
is located around the corner from the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel (see below)
on Manchester Ave. If you are used to doing a lot of walking, you may be
able to handle the walk, but it may be a bit much at the end of a long day
at Disneyland, fortunately they also offer a shuttle.
A contributor to Steve's site stated, "The Penny Sleeper's location on Manchester behind Harbor makes it
a little more quiet as long as you don't have a room that faces the freeway."

A contributor to Steve's site stated, "I have stayed at the Penny Sleeper Inn on several occasions. It is a
no-frills, basic but very functional motel. Free continental breakfast is
provided every day. Rooms are adequate-sized and feature bath/shower combos.
Free cable TV with ESPN and at least one movie channel is provided. Rates
are very reasonable. The rooms are adequate and the bathroom is a little
small but you get what you pay for." |

"There was no surcharge for local calls the last time I was there and
coffee is available in the
lobby.
Parking is not a problem, usually you can park right outside your room! I
found the lobby staff to be friendly and helpful.
"It is perfect
for the budget traveler or for the small family who will arrive in Anaheim
one day, visit Disneyland the next day and return home the following day."
