Accommodations Review:

Three main rooms and a full bath.
Living room includes couch, two end tables with lamps, one dresser
with a big television (Nintendo included) and in room movies for a
fee. Two chairs and a pull down Murphy bed. Very
comfortable, great with kids so they don’t have to watch what
the adults watch in the other room. Kitchen; table and chairs,
seats four. Microwave, stove-top (no oven) dishwasher full
refrigerator and dishwasher. Lots of cabinet space. Only draw
back, no dishes they have to be rented for $2.50 a day. Nice
bathroom off of the kitchen. Master bedroom (looks like most
regular hotel rooms) two double beds, night stand with over head
wall mounted lamps between. Big closet, cabinet with shelves
(where we had to put the adult clothes, no dresser) The top shelf
has a big television in it. Both televisions have cable hooked up.
Another sink and vanity area with places to brush teeth, hair etc. |
Rate/Night (for your stay):
|
Using the Hotel Reservations
Network on the web it was 59.95 a night. We did find out that
people that just drove up and found a coupon in a local shopper
were getting 45.00 a night. |

Restaurant/Lounge Review:
|
One big restaurant The Carousel.
It looked nice, kids eat free when an adult meal is purchased.
Flyer said breakfast buffet was 1.99, The restaurant had a sign
that said 2.99. We never ate there. That is why we had a suite, so
we could eat in our rooms, much quicker, and in the long run
cheaper. Many restaurants close by (walking distance). |
Activities/Facilities Available:
|
Four heated pools.
Supposedly there was a little pantry where food could be bought
and a price list in each room of the available items. We found the
grocery store was cheaper, and had a better selection. Grocery
store about 2 miles to the east of the hotel. |
Pool Description/Comments:
|
Very clean, lounge chairs all
around. The kids loved it! A sand box near every pool,
looked like no one used it, needed to be cleaned out a little.
Sticks and debris in it. There were two grills (big brick ones)
outside the pool area, but the grates were in bad shape, and there
was no charcoal or briquettes, one would need to bring them I
guess. I never saw anyone use them. |
Amenities Provided:
|
Towels and minimal supplies (soap,
no shampoo or lotion) No hot tub, laundry facilities, supposedly a
babysitting service (did not feel comfortable using it) Pets were
permitted for an additional fee. The rooms (suites) were
non-smoking. They did have Smoke detectors. No shuttle from
the airport, for a fee there was a shuttle to the parks. In the
lobby one could buy tickets to all of the attractions, as well as
sign up for a timeshare lecture for reduced priced tickets to the
attractions. (90 minute lecture). In room safe for a small fee. |

A very economical place to stay
with a family. Most of the hotels looked about the same, not very
new, and very average. Our hotel was clean and it was nice to have
three rooms to live in for a week with kids. The area was very
convenient to all of the parks and highways. I wish we could have
afforded to stay at WDW, but we could not afford that. Our hotel
was nicer than many near us, and maybe not as nice as one or two.
For the price, and having a suite it was worth it for us. My
only complaint was that I am a runner, and did not feel
comfortable to get up in the morning and run in the area. If I was
on a resort grounds I would have felt safer. I initially was
disappointed when I saw the rooms, ( you know how they always look
better in the pictures) but the place grew on me day by day. The
two TVs were great and the girls did not have to fight dad for the
remote, or to watch what they wanted to watch. I would stay there
again, since all you really do is sleep there. If you plan to
spend a lot of time back at your hotel, using the facilities and
pools and grounds you may be better off on the WDW properties. We
only slept there and had breakfast and sometimes a late supper or
snack at night in our rooms. We did use the pool a lot at all
different times, and were very pleased with them. |
