Park Shuttle Comments: |
Shuttle was run by Mears, $ 6.00 per round trip ticket,
running at approximately hour intervals. The shuttle had
prescribed routes, one time having us wait at MGM for 15
minutes to stay on time, even though no one got on or off the
shuttle at that stop. The latest return was one hour after the
designated park closed. This meant that to return from
Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, or Westside, we had to take
a cab. The fare was 13.50 two nights, and 18.00 on one evening
(different route to hotel). If you have several people in your
party, look into renting a car for greater flexibility. |

Accommodations Review: |
The hotel room was average with two queen-size beds in a
two-story motel stucco structure. There were four main
groupings of rooms, each with a different color. Ours was blue
green for the "Palm" designation. The rooms surrounded a
pool/nice playground/hot tub area. There was also a kiddie
pool in the center of each group of rooms. Rooms had a tiny
bathroom with a tub only the size of a shower stall. Hair
dryer, ironing board, coffee maker were provided. The A/C
worked well. |

Restaurant/Lounge Review: |
The hotel offered a breakfast buffet (sorry, don't know
the price) and an all-you could eat lunch buffet for $8.95.
The food was good, and certainly anyone could get enough to
eat. |

The pool was enjoyable, and the hot-tub felt great. |
Other Comments: |
I was attending a conference at this Hyatt. It definitely surprised me as it was not the Hyatt I am familiar with. The
Mears shuttle from the airport cost $27.00 with a slight
discount from the hotel, and taken together with the price of
the shuttle to and from the parks, I will rent a car when I
attend next years' conference at this facility. If I were in
FL to visit the parks, I believe there are far better options.
The parks were not open late in the evening at this time, and
that made shuttle use
difficult. |
