Check in at Westgate was painless. I had read on the
boards about the check-in process, so I knew what to expect. I had
booked a 2BR villa with the Entertainment book you buy for
fundraisers, etc. My dear friend Laura (nickbe) sent me her card
so I could get the villa for $90 +tax/night! They never even asked
for the card when we checked in. When the young man came out to
take us to the villa, he had a pink carnation in his hand and a
bottle of Asti Spumante. Nice touch--they do this for all guests,
we weren't special! <g> When we arrived at the villa, I was
blown away by how nice it was! It was building VVB.
Apparently, the triple letter buildings are newest. This was very
new. Huge kitchen, full size fridge, double sink, range,
microwave, full size washer/dryer, coffeemaker, cabinets well
stocked with dishes and all sorts of utensils, dishwasher, small
bottle of dishwashing soap, 2 packets of auto dishwashing
detergent, and 2 small boxes of Tide for the washer.
There was a breakfast bar with chairs, and a big granite-topped
table with 4 chairs in the large eating area. There was also a wet
bar in this area. The living area was also large. There was a big
leather (yes, leather!) sectional couch, one section of which
opens to a sofa bed. Entertainment center was very nice, with a TV
and VCR. The slider opened to a screened patio with several lounge
chairs with those thick nice cushions on them. The master bedroom
was very big. King bed, another TV, plenty of drawer space, good
sized closet. Jacuzzi tub, and separate shower in bathroom, along
with single sink. The toilet was in it's own closet for privacy.
We had a slider in here as well which has access to the screened
patio. There is a screen door on the patio. Obviously we were on
the ground floor! We used this door to walk to the pool area that
served our building . The 2nd bedroom was very large as well. We
had 2 full sized beds, yet another TV, and access to the second
bathroom! his had a sink in an outer area, and a toilet
compartment. The tub/shower unit was very large; the tub was a
"garden" tub--very big! All in all, we couldn't believe
what we were getting for $90/night!! My husband kept saying,
"I'm afraid I'm going to be disappointed when we move
onsite!"

Pool Description/Comments:

There are many pools throughout the resort. We only
used the pool for our building once, and it was night. I couldn't
see very well, so I can't describe it fully. But the kids enjoyed
it! |

Worth coming to. Tremendous value if you have an
Entertainment book, which can be purchased through many
fundraisers. Keep in mind I booked this about 1 month ahead for
Memorial Day Weekend, and the card rate (1/2 off) was honored. |
