Accommodations Review: |
Our family of six was very comfortable in our 2 bedroom
suite. We had the Manatee Kidsuite. Our two boys, ages 4 and
7, slept in kid's room with the bunk beds. The girls, ages 9
and 6 slept in the pull out sofa in the living room. We did
not use the trundle bed in the boys' room. We brought our own
Nintendo games (you can rent them), but we found that they
didn't have much time to play them. There were 3 TVs, one in
each room. Our kids loved having their own TVs in their rooms.
We had a mini-fridge and microwave, and a sink. There was also
a small kitchen table. Our bedroom had a king size bed, two
tables, a vanity w/lighted make up mirror, and a closet with
mirrored doors. There was plenty of space for my husband and
me. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Holiday Inn
Family Suites. The only problem that we encountered with our
room was that there was only one bathroom. Our kids have the
luxury of having three bathrooms at home and aren't accustomed
to having to wait in line to use it! |

Restaurant/Lounge Review: |
We ate at the Pizza Hut/A&W once. The service was
fine, the food was good. A word of warning...The hotel
advertises that kids eat free. However, as we were ordering
our food at the Pizza Hut, they told us that the kids' food is
free only between the hours of 11 and 5. We were there at 6!
We also ate at the Club Car on the veranda. The food was
slightly overpriced, but was good, and the kids ate free. I
guess they have to inflate the price of the adult entrees to
make a profit! I believe that the kids are always free at the
Club Car, but one should check that out on their own to make
sure. We picked up a few items at the General Store for lunch
one day, also. We got a ham & cheese croissant and several
fruit bowls. It was overpriced, too, but what isn't in
Orlando, Florida?? I was glad to have something healthy (and
quick) to choose from. The hotel has a free hot breakfast
buffet every morning. Some items are changed everyday to give
a little variety. We were very happy with the breakfast! |

Pool Description/Comments: |
The pool was excellent for our kids. Two of our children
are small for their age, and therefore they can't go in water
much deeper than 2 and a 1/2 feet. This is a problem for us in
most hotels. The zero depth entry solved this problem for us.
More than half of the pool was under 3 feet deep. They loved
it and so did we. |
Other Comments: |
We really only had one complaint about our hotel. The
elevator was tremendously S-L-O-W! There was only one elevator
near our room, which we thought was very strange, especially
with the size of the hotel. Our room was on the top floor,
which added to the problem. Did I mention that the elevator
had no air conditioning, also? We usually ended up using the
stairs when going down. As most of you know, it is more
difficult to climb six flights of stairs than it is to go down
them. (especially with four tired children!) Therefore, we
were forced to wait to go up. Some may think this is a trivial
thing to complain about, but what about the people who are
disabled or unable to use the stairs? It could be a real pain
in this case. Overall, our experience with Holiday Inn Family
Suites was a good one, and we would stay there again in the
future.
