The Lake Buena
Vista area is at the North end of WDW property. The Downtown Disney
area provides the most convenient entrance to WDW from Lake Buena Vista,
as Hotel Plaza Boulevard intersects SR-535 just a block or so West of I-4.

International Drive Area
The Kissimmee area
stretches East and West from the central part of WDW. Usually taking
SR-192 right to WDW is the most direct route, although it may make sense
to take the Osceola Parkway if you're staying at a resort far to the East.
Animal Kingdom and the Studios are
the closest parks from the SR-192 (aka Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway)
corridor. There's a straight shot up World Drive (from SR-192) to
the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center Drive, also.
Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway is a very busy tourist strip with many
hotels and motels, restaurants, minor attractions, and so on.
Traffic is very heavy (especially during the busier times of the year) and
local road construction has exacerbated the problem over the last couple
of years.

International Drive
stretches North from beyond Universal Studios and South to Sea World and
below. In recent years, International Drive has even been extended
all the way down to SR-536 which provides a nice avenue into WDW (SR-536
becomes Epcot Center Boulevard when it gets to the WDW border.)
International Drive South of Universal Studios is a very busy tourist
strip with many hotels and motels, restaurants, the Orange County
Convention Center, shopping malls and strips, and a LOT of traffic.
However, if you plan to visit Universal Studios, Sea World, and other
Central Florida attractions during your trip, this central location would
be hard to beat.

The airport area
(McCoy, thus the acronym "MCO"), is located far to the East of
most of the area's attractions (and separated from them by the Bee Line
Expressway toll road, SR-528). For late arrival day nights, though,
this might be a nice place to pillow your head before moving to the other
areas of central Florida.
