Food Review: |
This was our first dining
experience at the Bayou and we found the food to be very
disappointing. Either they were having a really bad day or our
standards are just different. We ordered the Bronze Chicken
and the Roast Pork Loin. Both dishes were served just warm
(albeit on hot plates). The meat on neither was tender and
both were rather dry. The spices were unexciting. The flavor in the Bronze Chicken was limited to the skin rather than the
meat (in stark contrast to the Aunt Polly's Chicken at the
River Belle Terrace). Even the dessert, a berry-cream, didn't
impress us. |
Service Review: |
Fair. Our waiter did not recall the
special of the day and could not provide further information
or recommendations on entrees. Service seemed a tad slow
although the waiters were whizzing about. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The restaurant has an almost
authentic feel to it; but the constant dashing-about of the
staff added tension to what should be a relaxed setting. |
Other Comments: |
Overall, I came away with the
impression that this was just fancy cafeteria food in a
nicely-themed setting. Perhaps, I'm in the minority but that's
my honest opinion. I have much better things to say about the
PCH Grill in the Disneyland Pacific
Hotel. |
