Food Review: |
The iced coffee cost exactly
the same as hot, which is rare but nice here in California. It
was plain old Columbian Joe, but GOOD plain old Columbian Joe.
It was served with half and half in a guaranteed to spill
pitcher and a selection of sweeteners. Dante had a Sprite, and
I also ordered an orange juice. I ordered the Turkey Puff
Pastry, which was a puff pastry smothered in savory turkey
gravy peppered with reasonably mild spices, carrots, corn,
peas, baby potatoes, onions, and thick chunks of juicy,
flavorful turkey. It was served with a large leaf of parsley
as garnish and spices sprinkled on the bowl edge. Dante
ordered the honey ham sandwich, which was piled high with
thinly sliced ham, lettuce, and tomatoes, served with chips
and fruit. We had earlier tried the Beef Stroganoff, which was
very good, and the Beef Bourgoinoinne, which was tasty but
somewhat watery. |
Service Review: |
I felt a cold coming on, so
asked the greeter if they had chicken soup that day. The soups
that day, she answered, were roasted vegetable and broccoli
with cheese, but that I could always find chicken soup at
Tomorrowland Terrace. Brava, and thanks! We decided to stay,
and were treated to service by Bob, whom I'd read about many
times from happy and devoted guests. His service was Club 33
quality and better. |
Atmosphere Review: |
Very urban, but slightly away
from it all. A great place for people and parade-watching.
