I was a walk in guest with no
reservation. I was greeted promptly and asked to wait for a
couple of minutes while they prepared a table. |
Time of Wait: |
I was seated within 5 minutes of
entering the restaurant. It is a pleasant waiting area, lots
to look at, pictures, bronze statues, etc. |
Food Review: |
I had the fixed price Chef Menu,
with 3 choices per course. Starter - I had the "Big Thunder
Salad", a mixed leaf green salad with slices of Smoked Beef
and a Blue Cheese sauce. This was a first rate starter, quite
a large portion and very fresh. Very good salad leaves, nice
beef and a good helping of Blue cheese sauce. Main Course - I
chose the Pan Fried Salmon with Tagliatelli and Vegetables.
The salmon was excellent, very nice flavour and still moist.
The vegetables consisted of Red, Yellow and Green Peppers, Red
Onion, Courgette (Zucchini) and Carrots, I think they had been
stir fried. The disappointment with the main course was the
Tagliatelli, it had been overcooked a little and was a bit
waterlogged. This was not a problem though as the salmon and
vegetables provided most of the portion. Dessert - I selected
what looked like it would be the most interesting dessert on
the menu "Tequila Creme Brulee with Caramelized Nachos. The
Creme Brulee was very good, nice dash of alcohol not too much
! but the Nachos were a disappointment and only one was eaten.
They had little flavor and seemed dry and stale. Overall I
enjoyed the meal and felt very satisfied. |

The service was excellent, a very
nice, friendly and attentive waitress. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The Silver Spur Steakhouse is in Frontierland
and it's themeing reflects this very well. You
really could be back in the Old West. It's a dark and
atmospheric place, with lots of great artwork. The main part
of the kitchen where the steaks are cooked is inside the body
of the restaurant, this makes for great views as the flames
surge when meat is thrown on to the open grill. Kids will like
the cowboy feel to the place, a special menu is provided for
children |

A nice atmosphere, excellent
service and good food, what more could you ask. It's not the
best place to eat at Disneyland Paris, but it's a good all
round
experience. | | |
