Summer (September - November) 2004 WDW Trip Reports

Jim Indelicato - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and rental car
  • Resort: AMoR
  • Accommodations: Standard room
  • Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie
  • Comments: Jim hadn't intended to write a trip report for his family's vacation, but after reading many of the existing reports he realized that most are by Disney veterans and thought it would be good to share the impressions of a first timer.

Amy Gourley - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and rental car
  • Resort: WL
  • Accommodations: Standard room
  • Ages Represented in Group: Infant, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Though Disney World veterans Amy and her husband hadn't been since before she'd become pregnant with their 15-month-old daughter. It was definitely time to visit again, and to make it a bigger family affair the in-laws came as well.

Kim Howe - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and rental car
  • Resort: Offsite
  • Accommodations: Guest room
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: There is always a lot of interest in solo trip reports, particularly long trips to Walt Disney World. For Kim, this was her third annual "girls only" trip and it turned out she was the "only girl." As most solo travelers seem to find, she still had a wonderful time.

Janice O'Hanley - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and shuttle
  • Resort: PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: This long-weekend trip for Janice and her friend is a chance to see SuperSoap Weekend, the Food and Wine Festival and just get away for a few days.

Matt Tiegs - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and shuttle
  • Resort: POFQ
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: This somewhat spontaneous trip for Matt and Lori ended up delayed by hurricane Frances, but nine days in November isn't a bad time to visit and it was their first trip with just the two of them.

Cathy Sowa - October 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane and rental car
  • Resort: PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Cathy began planning for this trip as soon as she got home from her last one in 2003. At the end, she shares her A-Z scrapbook that came of it.

Sheri Niklewski - September 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: Offsite, PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Sheri and her husband got a little more than they bargained through when Hurricane Frances joined them for most of this four-day trip.

Krista Fulkerson - September 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane, shuttle car
  • Resort: BCV
  • Accommodations: Studio
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Though Krista and her husband had another trip planned for December, that seemed too long to wait so they decided to squeeze in an extra trip around their anniversary.

Alan Taylor - October 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane, shuttle car
  • Resort: WL, Offsite
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
  • Comments: This report is interesting because it is a long (12 days) solo trip, and includes several days at other locations in Florida, for those so interested.

Steve Russo - October/November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane, shuttle car
  • Resort: BWR, CBR
  • Accommodations: Studio
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran, DVC Member
  • Comments: After a successful trip in 2002 with friends for the Food & Wine Festival, it was a no-brainer for the group to book a return engagement, adding Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this time around.

Lara Thompson - October 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: Offsite
  • Accommodations: Standard room
  • Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Frequent
  • Comments: For Lara's third trip to Walt Disney World in 2004, Lara decided it was finally time to actually bring some kids along. After reading all your trip reports, she decided it was time to try one of her own.

Sue Holland - November 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: Offsite, ASSR, OKWR
  • Accommodations: 1-BR Villa
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Veteran
  • Comments: Sue spent so much of November (three trips!) at Walt Disney World that she just decided to save everybody a lot of waiting and combined her trips into one long report.

Melissa Howard - October 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Plane, rental car
  • Resort: Offsite
  • Accommodations: Standard room
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: MousePlanet can be an inspiration. Melissa was a Disneyland die-hard but our Disney World content and message board finally convinced her to get to Walt Disney World, and drag along a couple other first-timers as well.

Sue Holland - October 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: BCV
  • Accommodations: 1-BR Villa
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Veteran
  • Comments: When a Disney-lover hooks up with a non-Disney person, eventually there is that awkward introduction. This was that trip as Sue uses her annual Food & Wine Festival trip to see how it goes.

Arnold van Beverhoudt Jr. - September 2004

  • Time of Year: Various
  • Travel Method: Plane
  • Resort: Offsite, CBR
  • Accommodations: Standard rooms
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie on to Veteran
  • Comments: Arthur has submitted an unusual trip report. Rather than detailing a single visit, he has channeled his excitement over the next visit into a reminiscence about 30 years of visiting Walt Disney World.

Sue Holland - September 2004

  • Time of Year: Fall
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: WLV
  • Accommodations: 1-BR Villa
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Not only had Sue scheduled six whole weeks without a trip to Walt Disney World, but day-to-day live intervened (read: hurricanes) and made it seven.
