Winter (January - March) 2004 WDW Trip Reports

Paul Moriarty - February 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane, shuttle car
  • Resort: BWV
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Teen, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
  • Comments: Paul and family don't get to visit Walt Disney World often, but he makes up for lack of experience with a lot of research and planning.

Jynohn O'Connor - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane, Rental car
  • Resort: CR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Toddler, Elementary, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Frequent, Veteran
  • Comments: Though disappointed at being moved from Shades of Green to the Contemporary and all the guests who didn't go home immediately after the holidays but it was still a great trip.

Kathe McGwin - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane
  • Resort: PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Infant, Toddler, Elementary, Adult, Senior
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
  • Comments: A series of children has made it difficult for Kathe and her family to make it to Disney World again, but finally they have, and they did it with three young kids to accommodate.

Victoria Kahler - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane
  • Resort: ASMuR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Infrequent
  • Comments: For Victoria and her sister, this trip had a mission: to convert their 20-year-old neice into a fellow Disney Fanatic. If it is giong to succeed, an eight day trip should be plenty of time.

Stacey Zitto - February/March 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
  • Resort: Offsite
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Infant, Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
  • Comments: Accompanying her husband, who is visiting Orlando for a tradeshow, provides Stacey a chance to spend a few days at Disney World with her 14-month-old daughter. It was a great trip despite some of the difficulties of visiting the parks alone with such a young child. She also shows herself to be a very good tipper, I'm sure shuttle drivers will be lining up for her on her next trip.

Sue Holland - February 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Personal Car
  • Resort: PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: Another short trip for Sue to avoid a five-month gap between trips to the Comedy Warehouse. As a side effect, with her third stay at the Pop Century Resort, Sue is narrowing down the best (for her, anyway), decade in which to sleep.

Karen Seemuth - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle
  • Resort: PCR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Adult
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
  • Comments: This report is short, but it covers a topic that many people wonder about: making a trip to the Magic Kingdom all by yourself. For this 4-day trip, Karen is all on her own and while it was lonely at times she found it had its own benefits and would do it again.

Ellen Pillar - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: CR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Toddler, Pre-School, Adult, Senior
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie, Veteran
  • Comments: Pregnancy, New Year's crowds, a large group, and resisting a commando mentality; that's certainly a recipe for a difficult trip. But as always, in the end, it was a wonderful visit for Ellen and her family.

Sue Holland - January 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Personal car
  • Resort: PCR, OKWR
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult, Senior
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Verteran, DVC Member
  • Comments: If it is a holiday weekend, then Sue must be heading to Walt Disney World. This report gives us our first trip report view of the new Pop Century Resort.

Sue Guindon - February 2004

  • Time of Year: Winter
  • Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle
  • Resort: AKL
  • Accommodations: Standard
  • Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult, Senior
  • WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
  • Comments: Somebody has to accompany all those cheerleaders that seem to overtake Disney properties so regularly. In this case, it was Sue's neice competing in the National Championships and it was a good excuse to get out of Ohio in winter.
