Transport, friend's car and the occasional taxi
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent, soon to be frequent!
- Comments: This is so unusual a report that
I'll just quote Joe's own description of it: "This
‘trip report’ will cover the 3 months that I spent as part of
Walt Disney World’s College Program. It covers everything I
did in the parks, at my apartment, places outside Walt Disney
World, and…of course…the reason I was there, the work!"
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: PO
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent,
Rookie
- Comments: Sharon and her son Evan (now billed
as a "fellow Disney fanatic") enjoyed a four day visit
to WDW in August. The two covered the complex like experts,
boating down the Sassagoula on their first night, enjoying the
parks, and just having a blast! I'm looking forward to
Sharon's future reports, too!
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: FWC
- Accommodations: Preferred Site (Tent Camping)
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie
- Comments: The Dahl's camped at Fort Wilderness
on this trip. I have very few trip reports on the site,
so this one is a gem! Katie, the Dahl's six-year-old daughter
thoroughly enjoyed her first visit to WDW. The report
is laced with suggestions and comments that are sure to help
folks plan their own trips to WDW (and especially to FWC.)
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: Offsite, Westgate Villas
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent
- Comments: This trip report covers only the
first three days of a one week trip because the unfortunate
author, Denise, had to return home before the rest of the family.
Still, it's a fun report with some helpful information -- especially
for those folks that travel to WDW during the hot summer months.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: ASMR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Toddler, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent,
Rookie
- Comments: I'll include Helen's own comment
here, "I'd be honored to be included in your website! I
used it a lot in planning our trip, though I did find that I
couldn't match a lot of our circumstances with the reports I
read. So here's to variety!" I'll just add
that the common thread among almost every trip report I've read
is the wonder and magic that being at Walt Disney World brings...and
the wonderful joy of enjoying it as a group of family and friends.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: DL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Rookie
- Comments: This report describes a short four
day trip by Tara and her sister Jillian. It was
Jillian's first trip to WDW, but Tara's second in two months!
Tara includes some helpful tips for folks that are planning
a shorter trip.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane
- Resort: DL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary,
Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
- Comments: Gretchen's report is nicely detailed
and includes a daily financial summary. As I wax
older and more fiscally responsible (and with another costly
adoption around the corner), I'm beginning to appreciate the
cost and expense information that folks are providing in trip
reports. Another nice feature of this document is the
wonderful list of trip ideas and suggestions with which Gretchen
ended.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: OKWR
- Accommodations: Grand Villa Vacation Home
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Teen,
Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent, DVC Member
- Comments: Dotti and Tony took a whole bunch
of people to WDW and stayed in a Grand Villa at Old Key West
Resort. The group was huge, so various sub-groups of folks
were going to various parks and resorts to enjoy different things.
Dotti does a great job of capturing the comings and goings...and
provides a lot of fun and helpful information for the trip planner
(as always).

- Comments: Grace, her 7-year-old son Alan, and
cousin Ben all met up for a nice visit to WDW in early August.
Grace and Alan got to Orlando a few days early and spent a few
nights offsite before joining Ben at the Boardwalk Villas Resort.
Besides spending some quality time at WDW, Alan dragged his
Mom to Universal Studios and Seaworld! The report also features
descriptions of Animal Kingdom and DisneyQuest.

- Resort: OKWR, CSR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult,
Senior
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,

- Comments: If anyone that's posted a trip report
on this site is a veteran of Walt Disney World, Sue and Chris
are. The mother and son combo met up with a co-worker
of Sue's on this trip. As always, Sue's report is a wonderful
description of a fantastic trip!
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: ASSR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Teen,
Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
- Comments: Marcia and her daughters Mallory
and Hannah enjoyed a ten day trip in early August. The
style here is definitely play-by-play, and is very brief (so
you won't get bored), but Marcia includes a lot of details about
the resort and her (and the girls') opinions about things.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car, Plane, Autotrain,
Rental Car, Shuttle Service
- Resort: ASR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent,
Rookie
- Comments: Betty's report describes the wonderful
trip that she, her sister, and her boyfriend took from Paris
to WDW. There's enough detail for the "play-by-play"
folks to be happy, but the text isn't bogged down in minutia.
Even so, the report has a lot of tips and fun opinions.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: BCR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
- Comments: Laurie and Rick ditched the kids
for a six day stay at WDW in late July. The couple
enjoyed the time and covered WDW thoroughly. Laurie's
description of their experience at the Beach Club Resort will
be extremely useful for any upcoming visitors.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: CR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent
- Comments: Ginger and her family spent a week
at the Contemporary Resort in mid-July. The weather
was hot and stormy, but the group still had a great time.
The Gruver's are veterans, and Ginger's report gives a lot of
insight on how they enjoy their time at WDW.
- Time of Year: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall,
Holiday Season
- Travel Method: Personal Car, Plane, Shuttle
Service
- Resort: WL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent, Rookie
- Comments: This started out as a family reunion,
but due to circumstances, only Mike, two sisters, and a nephew
were able to make the trip. Even so, the family had a
wonderful stay at Wilderness Lodge. Mike's report provides
a lot of helpful information and provides criticism that can
help you avoid pratfalls on your upcoming trip.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: SoG, DL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: In addition to just having a great
birthday weekend at WDW for Lisa, the Burkhardts (and Lisa's
parents) enjoyed a Backstage Magic Tour -- definitely a highlight
of the trip. The foursome stayed at Shades of Green, so
there's a nice description of that resort here too.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: ASSR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Teen
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent,
Infrequent, Rookie
- Comments: Elizabeth, Kelly, and Rachel enjoyed
a mid-summer visit to WDW. This is an interesting report
because it's so normal -- even though the girls are all in their
teens. One might have expected there to be concerns with
three teens traveling to WDW alone, but there wasn't.
They had a blast!
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental car
- Resort: ASSR, Offsite
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent,
Rookie
- Comments: Tim's report is very detailed.
It covers the planning and execution of a family vacation that
focused on WDW, but covered other Florida attractions, too.
The family also had a little experience with Florida's wildfires
that broke out in the summer of 1998. Fortunately for
the Hughes, it was only a minor inconvenience.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: WL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult (Honeymoon
Trip)
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Rookie
- Comments: This report, written in a summary-style,
describes Tara and Joe's honeymoon trip. Tara has provided
a lot of great information and opinions that can help anyone
with their trip planning. Definitely a fun report to read.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car, Plane, Autotrain,
Rental Car, Shuttle Service
- Resort: DL, WL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult, Senior
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Rookie
- Comments: This is a summary style report with
lots of opinions and tips. Andy's grandmother, the rookie
in the group, used a wheelchair for most of the trip, but Andy
didn't mentioned it except in passing. Also, the report
features A LOT of specific DAK opinions.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: VBR/OKWR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
DVC Member
- Comments: This was a relatively short trip,
intended to satisfy two things - to see Vero for the first time,
and to somewhat appease the WDW withdrawal that Sue and Chris
have had since their last trip in late March/early April (poor
dears). The report is a play-by-play style, but doesn't
get too bogged down in detail. Also, the boys (age 11
and 12) were given some latitude in being by themselves in the
parks...it's a hard thing to do when the kids are in that in-between
stage, and Sue's report gives some good insight about what works
and what doesn't when the kids are growing up.
