- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
(but knowledgeable)
- Comments: I guess you can say that the
credit for this website, or blame, goes to Mike. Mike
was the guy that got me started on writing trip reports when
I read his wonderful 1994 report (it's still in the achieve,
if you want to check it out). This is a detailed play-by-play
report of a great family vacation. I'm sure you'll enjoy
it.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: DL
- Accommodations: Standard Room
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Teen,
Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Becky and her family visited
WDW just before school started to take advantage of the MKC
rates that went into effect at the end of August. This
is a play-by-play report with tons of great information for
the trip planner and report addict alike.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: YCR, PO
- Accommodations: Standard Room (concierge room
at the Yacht Club)
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Rookie
- Comments: Justin and Crystal spent their
honeymoon at WDW. The report is a very detailed play-by-play
(with lots of expense information). During the trip, the
couple enjoyed the Chef’s Table at Victoria and Albert’s and
Cirque du Soleil.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: ASMuR
- Accommodations: Standard Room
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Kathy's abbreviated family
(they left the adult kids at home) visited WDW just for a quick
couple of days in late August. On the way they visited
some friends in the Tampa Bay area before completing the trip
at Walt Disney World.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: ASMuR
- Accommodations: Standard Room
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent
- Comments: This is a very entertaining
trip report. It describes specific things that happened
during the trip, but is not so very detailed about exactly what
was done when and by whom. You'll learn from it if you
read it.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: ASMuR
- Accommodations: Standard Room
- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent
- Comments: This is a summary style report
on the Smith's fourth trip to WDW. It's well written,
with lots of great opinions and suggestions. Even though
Laurie wrote this in a summary style, she still added a "summary
of the summary" at the end.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
- Resort: CBR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent
- Comments: Anne took a three day solo
trip just to get a fix before her next trip in October.
This is a nicely detailed report, even though the trip itself
wasn't extremely lengthy.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: OKWR
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Teen,
Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Rookie, DVC Member
- Comments: This report covers the family's
annual trek to Old Key West Resort. Beyond that statement,
I'll just include Dotti's own introduction: "I originally
wrote this trip report for my family and for a group of dear
friends who are just as crazy about WDW as I am. Some of my
writing may sound as if I expect you to know me and I apologize
in advance for that. After laboring over 15 pages of small font,
I couldn't even think of going back to change my style. ;-)"
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: VDI
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Toddler, Pre-School,
Adult, Senior
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent, Rookie
- Comments: This report includes detailed
pre-trip plans and then provides "what really happened"
during the trip. Nine members of the family were in attendance!
If you want information on how to do Disney with a large group,
this report will give you some insight.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: Offsite
- Accommodations: 3 Bedroom Condo
- Ages Represented in Group: Adults
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent,
Rookie
- Comments: This is a much-delayed report
(being posted in July, 2000), but it was worth the wait!
The detailed story of Li-Bong's trip with her husband and a
couple of friends will keep you reading for several lunch hours
in a row. The report ends with a nice summary, so if you
don't like detailed reports, you can skip to the end.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Plane, Rental Car
- Resort: PO, Offsite
- Accommodations: Standard Room
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Frequent
- Comments: Ron and Samantha enjoyed a
ten day stay in Florida after leaving the kids at Grandma's
house. It was a packed week, and the trip report isn't complete
because Ron didn't have notes for the end of the trip, but it
still gives plenty of hints and tips that can be helpful to
trip planners.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: FWC
- Accommodations: Cabin
- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran,
Infrequent, Rookie
- Comments: Tami sent me this wonderful
report that describes her family's week-long stay at Fort Wilderness.
It's unusual to find a report in which the group stayed at Fort
Wilderness, so that alone makes the report worth reading.
Another feature of the trip was the diverse group (including
extended family) that made the trip.
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: Offsite
- Accommodations: Suite
- Ages Represented in Group: Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent,
Rookie
- Comments: Julie and her mom took along
one of Julie's friends for a quick trip to WDW in mid-July.
As usual, Julie packs her report with plenty of detail (if only
I could get her to just send me her reports, instead of having
to wait until they're available on the newsgroup...hint, hint).
- Time of Year: Summer
- Travel Method: Personal Car
- Resort: WL
- Accommodations
- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Derek's report is a nicely
written play-by-play of his family's week-long trip to WDW.
Derek is now (as of October 1999) a CM at Star Tours at the
Studios, so look him up if you're there on the weekend!

- Comments: What would you do if you could
spend twenty days at Walt Disney World? Here's how
Vic and his family answered that question. A blockbuster
report of the detailed kind...my favorite kind!

- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Phyllis and her husband are
frequent (several times a year) visitors to WDW. On this
trip, the couple visited some non-Disney attractions on the
way to Lake Buena Vista. The report is written in a friendly,
conversational style that is a cross between a play-by-play
and summary (it's in chronological order, for the most part,
but less detailed). It looks like I may have missed a
particle or two, so I'll see if Phyllis can provide those other
parts. If so, I'll update the report when I get them.

- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary (Primary,

- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
- Comments: Larry, an Englishman from Scotland,
and his family visited WDW for a fortnight's stay. The
report is well written, and has plenty of detail for the trip
report junkie.

- Comments: On this trip, Sue and her son
Chris visited WDW, Vero Beach, and did some off-siteing for
a couple of weeks -- a very long trip for the Hollands.
As always, Sue's report is well-detailed and full of great information.
I really, really have to get to the Comedy Warehouse someday
:)

- Comments: Michael and Heather spent 5
days at WDW at the end if their honeymoon in June. They
visited the British Virgin Islands first, and Michael gives
a few tidbits of information on that part of the trip, too.
The WDW portion, though, is covered in detail in my favorite
play-by-play style.

- Resort: PO

- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
- Comments: This is a fantastic report
describing a blockbuster trip. Joe and his family visited
Florida for fifteen (count 'em) days in late June. This
one is laced with details and well worth reading from "cover
to cover." The report is punctuated with a great
summary list.

- Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Aileen and Cassidy, Aileen's
7 year old daughter, enjoyed a five day trip to WDW. They
made this a laid back trip, missed Scott (husband and dad) very
much, but still managed to see a lot and have a great time!
- Time of Year: Summer

- Comments: Donna had a wonderful trip
with her family that was punctuated with the surprise arrival
at WDW of several of her on-line friends for her 40th birthday!
This is a nicely written report, detailed and play-by-play in
style that I'm sure you'll enjoy reading.

report with a lot of great details.

- Ages Represented in Group: Teen, Adult, Senior
- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Infrequent
(but Disneyland Veterans)
- Comments: My favorite feature of this
trip is a fantasy come true for me....but it's on the last day
and you'll have to read it for yourself. Besides that,
Keith has put together a wonderful trip report with opinions,
details, and other helps for anyone that is planning a trip.
Enjoy!

- Comments: Joe's trip has it all.
For the planning nut, his report covers that topic in detail.
For the play-by-play report lover, it's all here. For
the people that prefer the summary style, Joe did that too (a
very detailed summary is the last 1/3rd or so of the report).
Enjoy!

- Comments: The Richter's had a wonderful trip
to Orlando including a stay at WDW, a visit to Universal, and
a day at the beach on the way home. The report is
a nicely written play-by-play one that is laced with details.
If you're going to take a road trip with kids, Debbie's report
can help you out!

- Comments: For trip planning addicts, Sheri's
pre-trip report is a fix and a half. Like other
reports on my site, who shall remain nameless (me), Sheri has
provided a veritable encyclopedia that describes how and why
she made all the arrangements she did. The final
report is a nicely detailed play-by-play one with a wealth of
information laced throughout.

- WDW Experience Represented in Group: Veteran
- Comments: Sue took a two day trip to
WDW in mid-June, this time just to visit with friends.
In addition to celebrating Donna's birthday (the main purpose
of the trip), Sue was able to get in some quality park time,
too.

- Comments: Sue went on a business trip,
but made sure she had time to do some park touring and Comedy
Warehousing, too (one of her favorite pastimes, if you've ever
read her reports before). As usual, this is a very well
written, detailed play-by-play report with tons of helpful information.

- Comments: The Rozas family stayed at
the Dixie Landings Resort on-site from June 2 through June 8
1999. There were four of us on this trip: Barry, 30, Linda,
30, Taylor (daughter) age 6, and Matt (son) age 4. I've been
to Disney World six times (approx every five years) and have
made three trips with my wife now, and two as a family including
this one. I guess you could classify me as Infrequent Veteran
(since I spend anywhere between six months to a year in advanced
planning which gives me the cyber-benefit of being a veteran.)
;-) This was Matt's first time, Taylor's second, and Linda's
fourth.
