Chris Cox -- August 2001 -- Walt Disney World (YCR)This report covers only the planning for Chris's Upcoming Trip. 12 to 15th August 2001 TRIP PLAN. Well myself and Dad both live in the UK, and have been to Disney in 1994 staying offsite with my mum and sister, the again in 1998 staying for two weeks at Dixie Landings, just Dad and I that time, since my parents have split up. This summer we are touring America to visit numerous Theme Parks to review them for Nowt2Do.Com (my website) however Disney World is our small break in this whole visit, and the last part of it! We are flying from London to Cleveland on July 24th then visiting Cedarpoint and Six Flags World Of Adventure before going to San Francisco for 3 days. Then we fly to Las Angeles and take in Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. Then we fly down to Orlando with Continental via Huston on the 10th August. The flight takes up the whole day really, we leave LAX at 11am and arrive in Orlando at 10.30pm, so we are staying at the Days Inn hotel at the Airport for that night. Then we stay for two nights at the Portofino Bay at Universal and experience that before coming to Disney for our final three days. After looking on Mouse Savers I saw a great rate, originally we thought we would stay somewhere cheap and only go to MGM, after talking about our last stunning holiday dad said "what the hell, you only live once lets enjoy it" and booked us into Yacht Club for 3 nights......well I booked us in and I am in charge of all the bookings! I have paid for a Water View and requested a view so we can see Illuminations. We chose Yacht Club over GF, because on our last day on our last visit we walked round Yacht Club and fell in love with the place, lets hope its still as good as we remembered! We are also going to buy Ultimate Hopper Passes or whatever they are called now. We will pay for them on check in, and buy them there as the lady at CRO was afraid to send them via post to us in England. She enjoyed chatting to me and commented on how "great" my British Accent is!! After booking the hotel I have also booked Priority Seating for the California Grill, on our last night in America. After three weeks in the USA, it'll be a nice ending we hope. We ate there on week one of our last trip, and loved it but couldn't book in again, so it should be great! We are being seating at 9.15 and I have requested a window seat so we can see the MK Fireworks! I am also going to try and get the illusive PS at Cinderella's Castle for our last morning since the flight is in the evening! We are hoping for an E-Ride night at Magic Kingdom whilst we are there, and plan in three days to do as much Park Hopping as possible, and try out Rock N Rollercoaster and Millionaire at MGM. We are going to make the most of our time there, experiencing the pool at the hotel, and going to Blizzard Beach. We also will drop into Downtown for a night, maybe eat in the Rainforest Café, but we aren't sure since we don't know when the E-Ride Night is, and since we are paying for park access we want to do as much as possible. We will no doubt walk from the hotel to Epcot a few times, and I can't wait for this trip. That's the plans so far, if we do something new in the planning stage, expect to hear from us!!
