INTRODUCTION

This is another unscheduled, fairly short-term trip. My last trip ended 5 days prior, and as much as I love it here, making the trip again so soon is something I wouldn't do without a REALLY good reason! For this trip that reason is named Greg - the Greg who used to work at the Comedy Warehouse until he moved to NYC last winter. Last month when he confirmed he would be in town and would be working this Friday and Saturday I immediately called Disney and booked a room at Riverside. I was not willing to deal with All Stars, knowing I would be arriving in the late afternoon, plus Riverside is so much more convenient to PI.

I really don't have any priorities for this trip other than the 2 nights of Comedy Warehouse shows with a little relaxing at Typhoon Lagoon on Saturday. It's been a very busy week and I'm looking forward to kicking back for 2.5 days!

The plans (subject to change) so far...

Fri 9/12: Work, C/I Riverside, Comedy Warehouse
Sat 9/13: Typhoon Lagoon, AK?, Comedy Warehouse
Sun 9/14: Possible park, Drive home

DAY 1 FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 2003

Who: Sue, DVC Member
Leesa, Comedy Warehouse regular
Tracy & Tyger, Comedy Warehouse regulars
Patty, Veteran Cruiser

Plan: Work, C/I Riverside, Comedy Warehouse

Actual: Today was the kind of workday I like - I went in late (went for a morning workout since I'd be leaving town) and left early (to get to PI without being rushed). I was glad I allowed extra time today! I left at 2, which should have had me walking into my room at 5, but traffic was unbelievable along I-4. I spent 1.5 hours on a stretch of road that should have taken 15 minutes - eventually leaving I-4 at highway 27 and taking it north to pick up 192 and come into WDW from there. Patty called as I was working my way out of the traffic - hop-fully she'll make it to PI tonight. I finally got to Port Orleans Riverside about 6:30.

It's been years since I stayed here - this used to be my favorite resort back in the early 1990's. In my opinion, in some ways it's as nice as I remember, but in other ways it appears to have gone downhill a bit. Maybe I'm just used to the DVC quality and things here are really exactly as they've always been, though. Check in was pretty quick, and I was given a room in Alligator Bayou. Usually I request Magnolia Bend, as I prefer the more elegant rooms with pretty furnishings. The beds that look like they're made out of twigs in Alligator Bayou aren't exactly my style <g>. However, for 2 nights I really didn't care, so I didn't ask if anything else was available. It's non smoking, and top floor, so that's good enough.

Before going to the room I wandered around the main area of the resort, stopping in the food court to buy a chocolate chip cookie. I knew there was no time for dinner, and figured I'd be hungry later. My room is in building 28, which is right by a quiet pool. It's set back from the parking lot, so if I wanted to look out my window I'd just see trees and perhaps the pool - no cars. Everything in the room looks fresh & clean - hard to believe they need to close for refurbishing soon! There are the usual 2 double beds (made from twigs <g>), a square table (more space than the round tables) with 2 chairs, large armoire with tv and plenty of drawer space, a bench and a night stand. The bathroom area has the toilet & tub in the bathroom, with 2 pedestal sinks, a wall safe and closet rod (no doors) outside. The furnishings are appropriately rustic, in keeping with the theme.

I dropped my stuff in the room, and Leesa called to see if I was here yet. She was at Downtown Disney already so I drove over and met her outside of PI. We went to Ghiradelli for a chocolate sample, then returned to enter PI and get up to Comedy Warehouse. Tracy & Tyger arrived just after us, and we went downstairs to wait for the first show. David & Bonnie were both there as well.

Carol Stein was on the keys tonight, and the difference between her performance and the piano players on the Wonder became even more evident. She'd be wonderful (pun intended) on the Wonder or Magic - too bad we can't clone her!

The 7:20 cast was Krista, Mary, John, Brian & Philip. They did an opening song about a guy from CA whose only real interest is going to theme parks and meeting celebrities. Some of them poked some fun at the guy, but not too badly - they did a good job. Mary & Philip created a Fill in the Blank scene, using the entire audience. They were a couple at the Grand Canyon, having doubts whether to break up or stay together. Other actors backstage served as the echo for each, but said what Mary & Philip were "really" thinking <g>, which was very funny! I don't think the scene would have worked nearly as well without this addition - it was a great idea.

They also did the new structure (Hot Seat?), with Brian the criminal. He had to figure out from clues provided that he had committed the crime of wearing pink jeans on his head in a ladies' boutique in Utah because he wanted to ride his motorcycle. Mary, Krista & John were the cops interrogating him, feeding him clues. It was hysterical - silly at times, but lots of fun! I've seen them do this twice now and loved it both times. They closed the show with a blues song about a guy who's got the blues about PMS. Overall it was a great show - especially considering it was the first show of the night. I talked to Krista & Mary on the way out, and soon it was time for the next show.

The 8:15 cast was Mary, Greg, Philip, Brian & Krista. Wow - it was so great having Greg back on that stage again - it was like he'd never left! The opening song was about a group of 5 mormon women from St Augustine who were here on a ladies' weekend away from the husbands and kids. The one who answered has 5 kids at home and is pregnant with her 6th - holy cow! They were having a great time, and the song was good. Next Philip directed a 1-act play called "I killed a janitor." Krista was the killer, who used a dull plastic school cafeteria knife. Greg was the cop questioning her, but she knew he was a crooked cop who was taking money from the Mayor. Philip declared the scene was too boring, so he had them back up and do it again, but this time set in Iran. When that was done, he had them redo it again, set in Japan!

They did Forgotten Songs. Mary wore Mickey Mouse ears and sang "If I ran the World", about prices and crowds at WDW. She started out saying she'd lower prices, but then was influenced by Michael Eisner and decided to raise ticket prices to $75/day. Krista & Greg were a white-trash couple singing "Beer, beer, beer" - pretty funny. Philip's song was called "He never met a lock he didn't like", so he came out in a kilt and Scottish cap singing about a Loch rather than a lock. It was clever, and with the costume and high energy, this song was the highlight. Next they did Letters to the Editor, about hairspray. Brian wrote to Sports Illustrated as a gay guy who hates the swimsuit issue. Mary wrote to Hot Rod, noticing some race car driver's hair wasn't out of place. Philip was a snooty person writing to Smithsoneum. Overall it was another good show. It was busy with other guests afterwards (the mormon group wanted a group photo on stage), but I got to see Greg briefly, and talk to Mary.

The 9:15 cast was Mary, John, Lynne, Brian & Christine. They opened with the poem "Do you yahoo?". In Song Cue, John & Chris were cousins and he had just broken up with his 4th wife. Eventually Mary came in as their grandmother and told them she'd adopted each of their parents and they in turn had adopted each of them, so they were doubly not related at all. They ended up getting together. They did a blues song called "Forget her - she probably wasn't good enough for you anyway" (in singing the song they realized John's wife WAS good enough after all). They also did "Celibate for the rest of my life" as a polka, and "We'll both drive" as an opera.

They did Scene Freeze, with 4 different scenes starting, and then everyone rotating from one scene to another. Lynne had "Bobby's Day", Brian had "turn water into beer", John had paintball and Chris had wrestling. John ended up carrying Lynne (who's bigger than he is) over his shoulder for most of the scene - and Brian & Chris were tumbling around for a while. Sometimes the frozen positions are the funniest part of this structure.

They played Schmeopardy as well, hosted by Chris. One suggestion was paralegal, so Mary & John came out as a "pair of legals" - a foreign couple from the country of Europe, who had their green cards. They were both funny - lots of clever little comments. Lynne was Super Woman, an ultimate fighter. Her character didn't really contribute much to this scene, though. Brian was funny as a sleezy doctor named Hans O'Feeling. He has a mobile exam unit, and goes around giving physicals to women. After the show I talked with Mary one last time, and picked up Patty's voice mail saying she was on her way. I didn't get outside until late, so the wait was short for the next show.

The 10:30 cast was Lynne, Philip, Greg, Krista & Chris. Most of this show was Conducted Story, and it was mostly great! The story was called "Ritz at the Betty Ford Clinic". Philip was the conductor, and he was fabulous setting it up - very high energy, almost manic! It worked really well, though. The story itself was a little weird, but that's typical. Lynne was first to die, by a fence shoved at her by a neighbor (Philip) who kept looking at her. His wife (Krista) may have shoved him or something, but I don't remember. Chris died in a JC Penney, where Lynne had come in as a shoplifting Wynona Ryder. Chris ended up with a heart attack. That left it with Greg & Krista - she had to continue in the style of sci-fi, while he had to stay in the style of home & garden. Krista died next - in a hysterical soap opera scene in a cabin in the mountains. Greg then wrapped up the story in a poem (sort of Dr Seuss style) and did an excellent job blending a little logic with a lot of craziness, which all rhymed appropriately.

They did a closing song about a woman who wakes up with globs of drool dried on her face each morning. Krista's rhyme told the woman it was ok to swallow - which went over the head of any kids, but the adults sure understood it! After the show Tracy, Tyger & Leesa left, Patty went to talk to Krista and I visited with Greg. Patty & I then headed out to discuss whether or not to stick around for the last show. It ended up that neither of us stayed. If it was going to be starting in 10 minutes I might have, but there was a 30-minute wait, and then it's so late when it gets out. I figured I'd get to see more of Greg's shows tomorrow, plus I'd already said goodnight, so I didn't mind missing the 12:05 tonight.

Patty & I wandered towards the PI exit, and stopped short when a young woman wearing stiletto heels, very short tight black slit skirt (stretched across a big butt) and a top that basically wasn't even there. It's hard to describe - I'm not even sure how it stayed on her, but it was wide open down to her lower abs, and somehow covered her sides and just enough breast to be legal (it helped she was very small chested). The 2 of us just stood there watching the other people noticing her, staring, or doing double-takes! When the woman tottered away, hips-a-sashaying this way and that <g>, the show was over and we pulled ourselves together and left PI.

My drive back to Riverside wasn't bad - not as short as going to Old Key West, but MUCH better than All Stars would have been! Parking was a pain - it seems like everyone at this resort has a car here! I found my way back to the room, ate part of the cookie while working on the report, and decided to wait until morning to get online.

Except for the traffic on I-4, today was a great day. Comedy Warehouse was terrific - it's such a treat to have Greg back for a visit, and to have Mary working on the weekend nights. It was also nice to see Tracy & Tyger again, and catch up with them. I'm kind of bummed that this is such a short trip, but I'm reminding myself short is better than nothing!

DAY 2 SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2003

Who: Sue, DVC Member
Leesa, Comedy Warehouse regular
Patty, Cruise Veteran
Tracy & Tyger, Comedy Warehouse regulars

Plan: Typhoon Lagoon, AK?, Comedy Warehouse

Actual: It was after 1:30 before I finished the report last night, but if I'd stayed for the final show it would have been 3:00 or later. I set the alarm for 7:30, so I'd have time to get online for a while before Typhoon Lagoon. After cleaning up and getting into my swimsuit I caught up on the email, IM'd with Kathy (the traffic caused me to miss her yesterday), and downloaded the messages. I made some cappuccino and took it with me to wander around the resort for a while. I really do like it here, even though it's no DVC resort <g>. The grounds are pretty, and I like things aren't on top of each other like at the All Stars and more contained resorts. I stopped to watch a guy fishing with his 2 little girls and took pictures with his camera of the girls with the fish they'd catch. He was a nice guy, and the kids were really cute. Continuing on my way, I'd hoped to get some photos of the resort but the angle of the sun wasn't right for many of them. I'll have to come back out later.

I stopped in the food court, but I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's as pitiful as it was yesterday <g>. They only have 3 stations, plus the little bakery. One of the stations isn't even open, so everyone wanting breakfast has only 2 lines to choose from. It's your basic breakfast stuff, but for me not worth the lines and not something I really "want". Back at the room I found the housekeeper a couple of doors down and let her know to skip servicing my room. There's no point in it, since it's just me and I'm leaving tomorrow. I've got plenty of towels, and I can pull the covers back up on the bed 'o twigs myself! Since I didn't find any breakfast worth eating, and knowing I'd be hungry later, I finished the chocolate chip cookie <g> and threw a Special K bar in my bag.

Around 9:45 or so I drove to Typhoon Lagoon, getting there just before it opened. A man beat me to my spot, but as I prepared to set up nearby he saw another area he liked better for his family & left. So, I moved on over to my spot before anyone else came. It was busy today, but not mobbed. The love bugs weren't as bad as a couple of weeks ago either, so it was a really nice day. I saw my first thongs in a Disney water park today - on a couple of young ladies (teens) who really were chubby enough that a different suit would have been a much better choice <g>. Personally I'm not offended by thongs and don't gasp in horror if one is spotted in a "family" park. Nor do I believe that seeing a thong will cause your children to grow up to become pregnant teenage drug addicts as a result of being exposed to these scandalous swimsuits <g>. However, few have the body required to look good in a thong!

I was tempted to get a frozen drink at the bar, but figured it would end up melting too fast in the sun. Some people were eating ears of corn on the cob - but I never did go find out where they were sold. Around 1:30 I was pulling some clothes on over my swimsuit when I heard "Hi Sue". I turned around to find Darby, who used to work at Comedy Warehouse. We chatted for a little while, then I headed out of Typhoon Lagoon and drove over to Animal Kingdom. Little bit of "Sue" trivia - in case you were wondering how many bicep curls (using a single free weight) it takes to get from Typhoon Lagoon to Animal Kingdom, the answer is 309. Now I'll have to make time to do the same on the other side - which is impossible in the car.

Entry was a breeze, and I went straight back to Harambe to get on the Pangani Forest Trail. As I got to the bridge by the gorillas my heart skipped a beat - there was a person in a red wheelchair with a bunch of hoses & stuff in the back. I wasn't expecting Kathy to be here, and when I got a little closer I realized it was not her. This person didn't have all of her high-tech equipment, and none of the decorative gorilla accent pieces! I was glad I didn't make a fool of myself rushing over to greet "Kathy" - especially since it was some man <g>.

My experience here didn't get much better. There was no sign of Gus at all, unless he was the one sleeping under a rock overhang. It could have been KJ though - hard to tell. One of the younger ones was way up on a hill with his back turned to us, just sitting still. On the family side the 8-year old was in a tree pretty far back, but nobody else was out. I waited a little while but nothing was changing, so I ended up leaving.

Since I still needed something to eat, and I was at the edge of Disney property, I drove off to the McDonald's close by to get one of the small yogurt/fruit parfait things. On Disney property they only serve the jumbo size, which is too much. I took a wrong turn leaving McD's and started noticing unfamiliar things - lol, but turned around and found my way back. Serves me right for leaving the sacred grounds of WDW to spend money!

Back at Riverside it felt good to sit in the air conditioning while I ate the yogurt and updated the report. It was 3:30 by now, so once the yogurt was eaten I wandered around again to take the photos I wasn't able to get this morning. Once that was done I went back to the room to shower & get dressed for the rest of the day. I had some time, so I got online for a while. Around 5:30 I took another walk and picked up one of the chocolate chip cookies for later. They weren't out of the oven - what is up with that??? I should have waited, since I was hanging around to take a picture of the horse & carriage at 6pm, but I didn't think to do that. Instead, I got a sugar cookie with M&M's - not bad, but not as good as chocolate chip. After storing it back in the room, I drove over to Downtown Disney. Leesa had called, and she should get to the meeting spot about the same time I do.

Parking was more of a pain tonight for some reason, but I managed to find a spot in my usual lot. Leesa was waiting, and Tracy & Tyger were with her. We all went to Ghiradelli, and then returned to PI. Patty had called as I was leaving the room, so I knew she wouldn't be arriving until 3rd show. Tonight Jim Roberts was on the keys, and it's always a pleasure to see him. Other regulars tonight were Al & Laurie, Bonnie, and David was across the aisle.

The 7:20 cast was Greg, Krista, Chris, John & Brian. They opened with a song about a guy who works with xray machines. I thought the lyrics were decent, but the audience was completely silent throughout the entire thing. It was a small crowd, and it was like they were all in a coma or something. We tried clapping at just about anything to spur some of them to show any sign of life, but were not successful. Next they did Story Telling - which I'm afraid further damaged the show. John & Brian were good as 2 formerly conjoined twins who'd been separated, telling "Funny Book". It wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as the silent audience made it seem. The first show of the night can be tough enough, but to put Story Telling in there just seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot.

They did Forgotten Songs, which made me optimistic. Brian was a nerdy kid singing to the PTA in "Life in High School." Unfortunately, the song was more sad than funny - although I'll bet with a difference audience it would have seemed funnier. Chris & Krista were Bobbie & Skippy singing a 60's song called "Fish & Chips are Fun". They got the energy of the show up, at least. Greg & John then came out as guys in drag singing "Why my life is a drag". Still, audience response was practically non-existent, and I felt so bad for the actors suffering through this show! Brian came out and tried to make a joke about the audience being dead - but that didn't register either. Ugh. He directed Greg & Krista in a 1-Act Play. They were studying butterflies in Antarctica, in a town called Balderdill. They met John & Chris, the only other couple in the town. Chris was supposed to have Tourette's Syndrome, but I'm not sure if she didn't know what it was or purposely downplayed it for the kids in the audience, but this scene pretty much lost it's punch at that point. Anyway, it was the worst show I've seen in a very long time - and I was glad to see it finally end. Brian rushed over after the show - lol, he had a lot to say about the show <g>. Back outside Mary's husband was there, so I went over to say hi.

The 8:15 cast was Mary, Brian, Greg, Chris & Krista. They opened with the Name Rhyme game, which was very good - Christine won. The next structure was something I'd never seen before, but I really enjoyed it. Mary was telling a story, turning the pages of the book by walking from one side of the stage to the other. The other actors created the picture on each page, and Mary created the words to go along with the story based on their positions. The story was called "Space, the Final Frontier" and she did a great job. Her story was very funny, with several very clever jokes/comments. Next they did Should have Said, with Chris ringing the bell. Greg was a doctor who was drunk and a drug user. Krista was his slow-as-molasses nurse, and Mary was a patient who came to see him. It was fairly brief, and a pretty good scene.

They did the Hot Seat next, with Christine having to figure out that she had pulled the tab off a pillow in her psychiatrist's office in Toledo Ohio because she hates broccoli. She actually figured it out pretty quickly, and it was a lot of fun! This was a MUCH better show - more like normal! Tracy & Tyger left, since they're working early in the morning. Patty arrived, and introduced me to her friend Holly.

The 9:15 cast as Mary, Greg, Krista, Joy & John. Jim Roberts started off playing the theme from the Flintstones. That's probably my favorite of the songs he routinely does - guess it brings back memories of watching the show as a kid. I always loved the Pebbles character <g>. Anyway, the actors opened with a poem - "Blame Canada". It was a good poem. Next was Styles, where John & Greg had to create a scene while changing into different styles of tv, movies, theater & books. They were a father & son who were whittling, but it became known that John wasn't really Greg's dad after all. Turns out he'd killed Greg's real dad. It was hysterical - very funny scene! Greg & John work really well together - interesting in a way, since John was hired to replace Greg when he left, and tonight we got to see them performing together.

They did Up Your Alley, about dental implants. Greg hosted with his Ricky Flake character. Joy was Marjorie, a dental assistant. Krista was a hippie-type named Ann Amell (enamel) who talked with her hands and designs implants. Mary stole the scene as Flora Ide, who does her own implants with pieces of tile and a hammer from Home Depot. She'd frequently say "hello and howdy do" before answering - that part got old pretty quick, but her answers were excellent. She goofed up, saying gout when she meant grout, and then rambled all over the place trying to justify what she'd said - it was classic Mary, and we were laughing so hard our stomachs were hurting. Even Greg couldn't help but laugh. This was a really great show - it ended up being the best one of the night!

After the show I said goodbye to Greg and talked to him a little bit about future plans. Al wanted to take a picture of him with Leesa & me, so we did that - and I gave him my email address so I can have a copy.

The 10:30 cast was Mary, Joy, Brian, John & Chris. Right off the bat Brian made a reference to oral sex in his rhyme - he's always pushing the limits, but I really enjoy him! Mary & Chris did a Fill in the Blank scene, using the entire audience. They were in a synagogue, and Mary learned that her husband wasn't circumsized and her best friend (Chris) wasn't really jewish after all - she was catholic. Mary's husband was offstage using a "do it yourself at home kit" for his briss (sp?).

John, Chris & Brian came out and created a poem called "Joy to the World". It was cute, and short. Schmeopardy was next, hosted by Mary. Joy was good as Cookie, a chef in Sweden. John was funny as Kenny Sink, a synchronized swimmer. The rest of his team has drowned, so he's the last one left. Brian was great as a truck driver from the south - Mack Kenworth, who claims to have hemorroids the size of peaches <g>! This was also a good show.

I stopped to say goodnight to Jim, and then to Mary outside. It's nice being here so often, but now it seems like my next trip in early October is so far away. Leesa was staying for the last show, but I think everyone else decided to call it a night. With Greg in the 12:05 show I was tempted to stay, but I decided to just be happy with the 3 of his shows I saw since otherwise I'd be up until too late. So, I drove back to Riverside and hunted down a parking spot that wasn't in the next county, then went to my bed of twigs. Leesa mentioned she wanted the trip report there when she got home, so the pressure was on to get it finished & posted. With some of the cookie for energy, I got it posted by 1am, then read email & did some online stuff briefly.

I had a really nice day today, even though not everything went perfectly. It's a shame I wasn't able to see Gus at AK, but I knew going over there it would be risky at that time of day. The first CW show I'd like to have deleted from my memory, but I guess it can serve to make me appreciate how good they usually are. Everything after that point was very good, so overall it was a great night.

At this point I'm still undecided on what I'll do tomorrow. If I decide to get up early I might go to Magic Kingdom for extra magic hour and do my usual favorites. I'd need to be on the bus around 7:30, though - so we'll see.

DAY 3 SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14, 2003

Who: Sue, DVC Member

Plan: Possible park, Drive home

Actual: Before going to bed I'd set the alarm for 6:30, figuring I'd go to the Magic Kingdom since it was my last day and I might not have time on the next trip. Unfortunately, when I woke up at 7:30 I saw that I'd set the alarm for pm rather than am! Oh well, I decided to get up and give it a try anyway, and was out the door by 8. I remembered in the morning the bus stop at the main building was the final stop before going to the parks, which if still true would mean my bus stop would be the first of 4 stops. So, I walked to the main building and boarded the bus there, and it did go straight to the MK. I was inside the park by 8:30, which wasn't bad.

I went to Space Mountain but their fastpass return time didn't start until 10:10, which was really too late for me. Instead I got in the standby line and although it was a little longer than I like, it wasn't too bad. The posted wait was 5 minutes, but it was closer to 10-15. Wandering through Fantasyland, the Pooh ride line was too long for me, so I continued to Peter Pan's Flight. This also had a line, but there was nothing else to do so I went on in. When I got off it was now 9am and the rest of the park was open. I went to the Haunted Mansion, where they were holding people outside, letting the crowd build up until 9:15 - then it was jam packed in the pre-show rooms, with many people not making it in this time. I wish they would have been ready to go sooner!

After Haunted Mansion I went back to Tomorrowland, since no visit to MK is complete without a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (for me at least). On the way out of the park I stopped in the candy store to buy one of those pretzels with chocolate and other junk. I was amazed at the number of choices they have now - it took forever to narrow it down to the one I bought. The PO Riverside bus arrived just as I did, which was nice. There was one other family on board and unfortunately for all of us their toddler decided to melt down on the way back. They tried to distract him with a number of different attempts, but he was just in monster mode for the time being. When we got back to the resort I bolted out the back door of the bus as quickly as I could!

Since I hadn't eaten, I thought I'd get a kids' bacon/eggs breakfast. Ha! I don't know where my head was <g>. In the food court they had the same 2 stations open - to serve 2000 rooms of guests! One station had pancackes & french toast. The other had the traditional breakfast, so guess where the long line was! I got in, thinking maybe it would move quickly, but the screaming kid in a stroller just ahead of me let me see the wisdom of skipping breakfast today. I exited quickly and walked back to building 28 to pick up the laptop and cameras I'd left in the air conditioned room.

It was 10:30 when I hit the road, eating my chocolate pretzel thing for breakfast during the traffic-free 3-hour drive home.

This was a very short trip, but I had a great time and am very glad I came up. It was nice staying at the former Dixie Landings again, and although the food court sucks big-time (for me) right now, I'd still gladly stay there again. Next time I'll specify Magnolia Bend though, so I don't have to sleep on twig furniture.

I didn't make it to any of my favorite restaurants this trip, and basically ate nothing but junk. If it had been a longer trip I would have had more time to fit in some real meals. I was just never in the right place at the right time, or I was all sweaty from being in the sun & water, or had to meet someone, etc. That's ok though - it'll give me something to look forward to on the next trip - hopefully LeCellier again!

Comedy Warehouse was the main focus of the trip (as usual), and Greg's return was the sole reason I came up this weekend. It was great seeing him again, and as expected his performances were first-rate. Except for that one really awful show, everything else was very good, with strong performances all around!

My next trip is another short one, coming up in early October. For a change of pace my first night I'll be skipping Comedy Warehouse to go to a comedy club downtown with Patty. I'll check into OKW for the last 2 nights of the trip, and will definitely spend those evenings at CW.
