Edward Li - June 1997 - Beach Club Resort & Boardwalk Villas

Time of Year: Summer
Travel Method: Plane, Shuttle Service
Resort: BCR, BVR
Accommodations: Standard Room, Studio
Ages Represented in Group: Elementary, Adult
WDW Experience Represented in Group: Frequent
Comments: Edward and his family had a wonderful trip in June. They were able to see all of the major parks, Typhoon Lagoon, and Universal Studios, too. The weather was very, very hot, so they were forced to take frequent breaks. One last note, Edward and his family became DVC members on this trip!

My name is Edward and I just got back from WDW and had a wonderful time with my wife Terry and my children Jessica (9) and Jonathan (5).

We stayed at two resorts. The first 5 days at Disney Beach Club Resort (for $169 per day with AP discount) and then 5 days at Disney Boardwalk Villa (for $169 per day with AP discount). I ended up using the "Magical Start of the DVC" so I didn't pay cash for 9 days out of my 10 days stay. I will explain this in detail later.

Day 1 - Travel

We arrived at Orlando Airport at 2:45pm on June 23, 1997. Since we'd already booked the Florida Town Car ($70 plus tips from the airport to Disney Hotel round-trip), a nice gentleman named J.C. Edwards (recommended by Deb) picked us up on time and even stopped for us to get some milk and groceries. He provided excellent service and I highly recommend this company. Later in the trip, we also used his services to provide transportation to Universal Studios.

We arrived at the Beach Club at 3:30pm. It's a beautiful place with detailed service and pretty surroundings. The pool is great, it's actually a mini-water-park with a great water slide and sand play area. My children enjoyed the sand beach area most. Our check-in took 10 minutes and everything was great. We put the luggage at our room (room#3549 - with a fantastic view of the fireworks from MGM Studio every night at 9:50pm) then we walked to Epcot International Gateway to change our admission tickets to Annual Passes. The scenery is very pretty, with flowers everywhere and music from around the world in the walkway, it created a holiday and vacation mood right from the start. To change the admission ticket to Annual pass was easy. For admission, then, we only had to insert 2 fingers into the machine and within 2 seconds, it is done (and since the AP lines are separate, there is usually no waiting either, it is just great!)

We walked to the French Pavilion and saw that Beauty and the Beast were there for signatures and pictures. My children were pretty excited and we tried to get closer to get a photo, but the line-up was so long and the weather really hot, so we said, "forget it, let's explore the World Showcase instead."

After walking for about an hour, all of us were very tired (because we came from Vancouver, Canada, and we left home on June 22, at 11:00pm and arrived Orlando at 2:45pm the next day and in between, we had to change flights twice!) We decided that we should head back to the Beach Club and take a swim and have a good nights sleep instead.

The Beach Club is so close to Epcot, it took only 5 minutes to walk from the International Gateway to the hotel. We changed into our swimming suits and put on lots of Suntan lotion (don't forget the Suntan Lotion, it really saved our skin from burning under the sun!) and went to pool. This pool is shared by both Yacht Club and Beach Club. Actually, the pool area is maked up of 6 to 7 smaller pools and connected by water pathways. Each pool has different depth and some have waterfalls or slides etc. There is also a sandy pool with a sand playing area which my kids loved. The water slide is great ( the only short coming is that it requires you to walk a very long distance over stairs and pools and across a road to get to the starting point to climb up to slide again.)

We stayed there for 2 hours and then changed and went to Cape May Cafe (at the Beach Club) for dinner. It offers an all you can eat buffet with steamed clams, oysters, and mussels -- plus salad. I liked the potato salad and it just tasted great. Also there are cold shrimp cocktails which were great too. The kids liked the dessert, and didn't eat much sea food. Overall, we had a great time. The children finish eating in about half an hour then ran around and enjoyed themselves.

We went back to our room at around 9:00pm to clean up and prepare to go to bed. Then suddenly, we heard some popping noise outside, we opened the curtain and sas the beautiful fireworks display at MGM. After the first 5 minutes, when it stopped, we thought that it was over and went back to brushing our teeth. Then we heard the noise again and we rushed back to the window to see the rest of the fireworks (about 3 minutes longer).

Day 2 - Epcot

We got up around 8:00am and ate our breakfast in our room. (We'd asked for a small in-room fridge and we put our milk and juice in it). We had cereal with milk and some cake and cookies. It was a great time and money saver.

We then walked to Epcot. Future World was pretty crowded, so we just chose whatever line was shortest. The first place we saw is the Land. We enjoyed the ride and seeing all those vegetables and crops. Food Rocks was fun for the kids. Then we headed over to the Living Seas. It was fun and educational, but the line was long, in the hot sun.

It was around 11:30am so we headed over to Norway and tried the Akershus Restaurant. The food was fantastic. My wife liked the soup and I liked the smoked salmon. The kids liked the bread and jello. This is a buffet, so we could have as much as we wanted. We are not large eaters but we enjoyed the setting and atmosphere in there. The service was great and the dresses worn by the cast members were beautiful. They are really friendly too. After the food, we went for the Norway Boat ride. It's great, although my son was a little scared of the drop, and was alot of fun for the whole family.

Then we went to Mexico and rode the boat ride there as well, but we liked the boat ride in Norway better. By this time it was almost 1:30pm, the sun was directly above our head and the heat was unbearable (especially for my 5 years old son), so we headed back to the hotel and took a nap.

For the evening, we'd booked for the Polynesia Luau at 6:45pm. We ended up going back to Epcot at around 4:30pm to see Energy. We waited for about 20 minutes before the pre-show. I enjoyed both the presentation and the air-conditioning (it was hot!).

Then we realized that the time was almost 6:20pm, so we ran all the way from Energy to the Monorail (two adults and two children all holding hands and running, quite a scene). We made it to the Monorail by 6:30pm and caught it right on time. We got to the TTC by 6:37pm and instead of taking the resort monorail from the other platform, we just ran to the Polynesian Resort...we got there right on-time at 6:45pm.

The show includes dinner, and performers dance while you eat. The show is separated into three sections. First, you're shown some Polynesian fashion while you eat pineapple (as an appetizer). Then the show stops for a while and they serve you the main course, which has chicken, pork, rice etc. The food is O.K. (not great) but the portions are large. Second, they show some Polynesian dance. Then the show stops again and they serve you dessert. Third, the show continues with more dance and the climatic fire dance at the end. The show is pretty good and our whole family enjoyed it, the only short coming is the place does not have air-conditioning and the weather was so hot that we thought we were actually eating in Polynesia.

After the dinner, we still had time to catch the Water-Electrical parade at the shore of Polynesian Resort. The show is composed of 8 boats and each has lights and sound and shows pictures of a whale, some dolphins, tortoises, King Neptune and the US Flag. After the show we took the monorail back to the MK and caught the bus back to the Beach Club.

Day 3 - MGM Studios

Today was also very hot. We again ate our time-saving breakfast in the room and then headed over to MGM by the friendship Boat. Since my children do not like the ToT type of ride, we just went to the Indiana Jones show, Little Mermaid, HunchBack of Notre Dame, and the Beauty and the Beast show. The lines are long, but each theater can accommodate a lot of people. We liked Indiana Jones the best.

For lunch, we just got some fast food from a counter, then let the children play in the Honey I Shrink the kids playground area. The weather, again, was really hot and my son didn't feel well due to the heat. He said he felt dizzy, so we quickly put some cold water on his head and took him into one of the stores (with air-conditioning). He recovered quickly, but once outside, he felt sick again.

We headed back to the Hotel to take another nap. Afterwards, we just stayed at the Hotel and rested and swim a bit in the mini-water-park. We had dinner in the Cape May Cafe again. It is great. We watch the fireworks again from our room and enjoyed every minute of it.

Day 4 - Magic Kingdom

Today was early admission for the MK. We got up really early (by arranging Mickey to give us a wake-up call - it is all done by computer through the telephone -neat), had our usual time-saving cereal breakfast and headed over to the MK. We arrived at the park at 7:45am and we got in right the way.

We rode Dumbo, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Peter Pan, Cinderella carousel and Mad Tea Party with almost no wait. Then we headed to Mr. Toad and we had to wait 15 minutes, followed by the Grand-Prix with a 20 minute wait. With the park getting more and more crowded, we rode Take Flight, and the Carousel of Progress and both are great. By the time we got out of the Carousel of Progress we were all singing "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow".

We didn't ride Space Mountain or Splash Mountain because my children don't enjoy such scary rides.

We had a great time and by that time, it is almost noon. The lines are getting longer and longer. We went to Epcot by monorail and ate at Norway again. The food is so good and the service is so friendly that it really made my day.

After lunch, we went to see Energy again and the Figment the Dragon, and played around in the Image Works area and had great fun.

Then we go to World Showcase and see the 360 degree China show, the scenery is so beautiful and so real that you can feel that you are standing right there.

We walked around to Germany and enjoyed all the shops with their lovely displays. My son played with a toy car that could move by just winding the wheel and with such speed that it can run through 4 -360 degrees loops - amazing.

Then we went back to to see Mexico and enjoyed the air-conditioning and beautiful and romantic shops inside.

Then we saw the American pavilion, the pre-show was great, those singers sing beautifully under the dome and the songs can really touch my heart. When we got into see the presentation, my son always asks, "are those persons on the stage real persons?" We do not know the US history that well and this is a good education show for us, even if my son feels a little bored (maybe he is too young to appreciate it).

After the show, there was pouring rain, so we went across to see the Mickey, Snow White, Pooh, Tiger ...etc. show, they are singing and dancing on stage. My son and daughter enjoyed this show and were eager to take picture of the characters.

The rain stoped after the show, and we walked back to Japan and bought some fast food (Yakitori- BBQ chicken, Seafood Salad and Tempura noodles) and took it back to the hotel to enjoy our dinner.

Since we get up really early this morning, the children were tired. So after the dinner, we rented a double-bicycle and rode around the Boardwalk while they sat in the front. It cost $12 per half hour and we ride around the Boardwalk slowly and enjoyed the scenery for a couple passes. Then we went back to the room and slept.

Day 5 - Epcot & last day at Beach Club

We requested express check-out and the Front desk told us that the bill would be ready when we woke up the next morning.

We took our usual quick and tasty milk and cereal breakfast (we had purchased those Kellogg's cereal variety packs with 5 different kind of cereal - the box can be used as a bowl and they are so convenient - just add milk).

We headed back to Epcot again, my wife's favorite Park. "It is so beautiful and nice everywhere, not too crowded, with music around the walkway, so clean and neat, so many beautiful buildings, so much culture to experience" in her words. We just like to walk slowly around the World Showcase, taking time to take pictures and looking at the flowers and smelling the trees.

We saw Spaceship Earth, a great show and a great ride. The ride stop several times in between (so that handicapped people can get on the ride), we feel that we are so lucky to live in North America, because even "Handicapped" people have their rights and special treatment and arrangement so that they can enjoy the show as well as ordinary people. This is what "quality of life" is all about - everyone is treated fairly with dignity.

We then went to Horizons. This ride is great and the message is so positive (that with hard work and effort, we can have a better tomorrow). My children love it so much that we line up again for a second ride once we finished the first. Luckily the line was not too long.

Then we went to Wonders of Life. We didn't ride Body Wars for both my boy and girl are afraid of scary rides. My daughter enjoyed Goofy About Health, learning what food is good for the body and that exercise is important (reinforcing what she has already learned at school and helping her to choose food wisely).

Then we went to eat at the Biergarten in Germany. The setting of the restaurant is like a Germany Village. The whole restaurant is surrounded by quaint German cottages. The stage below is, in turn, surrounded by the dinner tables in a semi-circle. A German trio performed some nice, traditional German music. The food was buffet style, the choice is a bit limited (not as many varieties and not as good as Norway) and the salads were typically very sour (not my cup of tea), the only hot dishes are sausage and chicken. The sausage was very good but the chicken is just O.K. Anyway, we enjoyed the beautiful recreation of those cottages surrounding us and the music. One more tip: the Beer is good.

We got back to the Hotel after the meal and took a rest (once again, the day was hot!). My son, especially, need a nap but we all took a break, too.

At around 3:30pm we headed to the Marketplace. It took almost 32 minutes to get there (I think we just missed a bus). When we saw the Big Mushroom and the Smoke from Rainforest Cafe, we lined up and made a reservation. We were told to come back around 1 hour 45 minutes later. That was great, since we weren't hungry yet anyway we could do some shopping and come back later.

We went to the largest Disney Store, it is huge and has almost anything that you can find in any other Disney store. Jessica got a dress and pencil set. Jonathan bought Woody and Buzz (from Toy Story)...all with our 10% discount with the MKC card. The kids wer very happy with their purchases, but my wife and I just enjoyed the window shopping and didn't buy anything. (I've always told my children, "If you want to enjoy a toy for the longest amount of time (full of expectation and joy), do not open it. While you are simply looking at it - you can still imagine how wonderful the toy will be, but once it is open, it is just another old toy in your closet").

After awhile, we headed back over to the Rainforest Cafe - The big water tank, the fish, the elephant, the lighting, the big mushroom all make this place very unique and one of a kind. The food is good and the portions are BIG. I mean really BIG portions. Jessica ordered the three Amigo - child's meal (it came with 3 hot dogs and fries, but she could only finish 1 and a half hot dogs. My wife ordered a salad and the bowl was so big that the dish could feed our whole family! Next time we will just order one salad and one child's meal and this will feed all of us with food left over. After the dinner, we do some more window shopping, and my daughter bought one of those personalized T-shirts (with Dalmatians and her Name printed on). With computer technology, we can print almost anything, personalize anything with the help of computer programs and machines.

We then headed back to the Beach Club to watch the MGM Fireworks for the last time from our room, with drinks and snack and air-conditioned comfort. We then hit the bed and prepare to move over to the Boardwalk tomorrow.

Day 6 - MGM Studio and Boardwalk Villa Check-in

First thing in the morning, our Hotel bill and all the charges that we made on the guest card were printed on a nice letter and inserted into our room. I checked the bills over and everything is right. (I didn't have to do anything as they will charge that amount on my Credit card automatically).

We did a bit of packing, putting everything back into the suitcases and then let Bell services know that we are moving over to the Boardwalk Villas. After they came to our room and looked after all the luggage, we went to MGM to enjoy ourselves in the park.

We checked-in at Boardwalk at around 3:30pm. But when we get to the room, there is a strong smoke smell (since my children are allergic to smoke, we had request a non- smoking room at booking). The Cms agreed to change us to another room, in the 5th floor, but since that room is not yet ready, we had to get back at around 4:00pm.

We killed some time walking around the Boardwalk and it is fun to see so many shops and bike riders. Our new room, studio #5058, is nice, and has microwave, fridge and kitchen sink, coffee machine etc.

I went over to the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) center to check things over while my wife and children checked-in to the new room. While I was there, I learned that there is a program call "Magic Start". Which means if you join the DVC, you can use the points immediately to pay for the hotels and even backdate some of the nights that we'd stayed at the Beach club. After some calculation, I decided it was a good deal because we can save $1538 on this trip, and we had also planed to come back again in March for 13 days, so we will save another $2800 next year.

Bottom line, we went ahead and became DVC members. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to e-mail me. We get 150 points each year and we used up 132 points right the way (for 4 days in Beach Club with a credit of $150 per day, that means we get back $600 for our stay in Beach Club and the entire stay at the Boardwalk Villa was taken care of (which means we save another $938). We can also bank the 18 points which are left over to next year and use them for for next year's March trip.

The whole DVC process (print out forms, filling forms, explanation, signing forms, changing our reservation to DVC, credit back the $600) took almost 4 hours. The kids stayed in the room patiently watching Toy Story and other cartoons while we handled the last of the DVC paperwork. After everything was finished, we were all very hungry, so we went back to our room, used the Microwave Oven to heat up some water and cooked some instant noodles (we'd brought 12 bowls) as our meal.

Our room overlooked Luna Park - a pool with a rollercoaster water slide and we went out to try it after our delicious noodles. The slide was great and the walking distance between the landing area and the stairs is short and it is great fun.

Then we head back to our room to take a bath. Suddenly, we heard the popping sound again - Thank God, we can see the Fireworks from MGM in our room again - aren't we lucky? And we went to bed after the Fireworks.

Day 7 - Universal Studios

We'd made arrangements with Florida TownCar to pick us up at 8:00am to go over to Universal Studios. At 8:00am sharp, the car was there and we left (the round trip cost $50 plus tips and we again make a stop-over at a supermarket on our way back to restock our supplies - juices, milk, fruit, cake, ice cream and cereals...etc. - C.J. Edwards always provide excellent service).

We arrived at Universal Studio at 8:20am, (we'd purchased our one day tickets at the airport with the Orlando MagicCard discount). The rope didn't drop until 8:30am, and we were probably within the first 100 persons into the park.

Universal is large but not as well organize as Disney. We can walk-on almost all the attractions - E.T. Adventure, Jaws, Kongfrontation, Earthquake, The Wild, Wild West Stunt Show.

We ate a quick lunch at a fast food restaurant and then head for Barney, Animal Actors, Hanna Barbara -- each with about 15 to 20 minutes wait. The day is very hot and we needed to take frequent breaks. We are glad that we rented the Double Stroller (for $12) so the children had a place to sit and a bit of shade while we do the walking.

We think most of the rides at Universal are geared for adult (not so much for younger children) and the lines are not as organized and efficient as at Disney. My children loved the Animal Actor Show and Hanna Barbara ride the Best. At almost 5:00pm, we went to see Terminator 3-D, then the children wanted to ride Hanna Barbara again.

In my humble opinion, Terminator 3-D is the best. The 3-D objects are so real and interact with live actors on stage, it is quite an experience ( I think it is even better than Muppet-3D in MGM and Honey I shrunk the Audience in Epcot).

Since we will be back in WDW for 13 days next year, we may visit Universal Studio again, we changed our one-day passes ($37) to Annual Passes ($75) - since the Annual Pass is cheaper than a couple of 0ne-day passed...plus, with Annual Pass you get a 10% discount on store purchases. The way they make the Annual Passes is very slow and inefficient. They need to take a picture of you then wait for the Polaroid picture to come out, then they cut the picture into the right size, then they glue the picture on a card and insert the Card into plastic envelope and into a heating machine to seal the Card into the Plastic.

Time flys. Before we know it, it is almost 6:00pm and our Florida Town Car was scheduled to pick us up at 6:00pm. We ran all the way to our meeting place, end up being right on time, and C.J. Edwards is waiting there for us. That is great service.

We stop over at a supermarket and get some more groceries before going back to the Boardwalk. We had dinner in our room and then went swimming again in that beautiful pool.

We watched the Fireworks again to end the beautiful day.

Day 8 MGM Studio and Hoop De Doo Show

We got up to have a beautiful breakfast in our room and then headed to MGM Studios again. We went to see the 101 Dalmatians attraction, it is quite interesting to see how those special effects are done. Then we go to Little Mermaid again. My children love those songs and the water mist is fun and real. My boy ask again, "whether that big dog on stage with the Prince is real or not?" We all enjoyed the show.

Then we took the Back Stage Studio Tour, it is fun to see the Catastrophe Canyon with so much water running down and the explosion with such heat intensity.

After some quick food we headed for Star Tours. My children do not like scary rides, but I told them it is very similar to Hanna Barbara at universal Studios, and they finally agree to go. The waiting is around 30 minutes and when the spaceship take off, they both scream and close their eyes. I now know they really weren't ready for it, so we decided to avoid all such rides until they are ready.

We do a little of window shopping, then, since the day is again very hot we went back to the Hotel to take a nap. My daughter went down for a swim and enjoyed herself.

At around 5:45pm we left for the Hoop de Doo show. Tip: the best way to get to the Hoop de Doo is to go to the MK first, then take the boat to Fort Wilderness. Pioneer Hall is within a short distance of the boat dock. We arrived there at 6:45pm, and we still had 30 minutes to spare, so the children played in the play area with slide and we visited the petting zoo with goats, sheep, cows, donkeys and a pork-belly pig. The kids enjoyed feeding the animals. We also visited the stable, with about 9 BIG horses. They are huge and since my girl loves horses and she really enjoy seeing them.

By then it was almost time for Hoop De Doo, we'd booked the table about three and a half month ahead, so we were in the centre of the Hall, since our table is about 1 foot higher and the stool is also 1 foot higher, we could see the show with almost no obstruction from the back. The food includes all you can drink and all you can eat family style food, My wife order a beer, I order red wine, Jonathan had iced-tea and Jessica chose orange soda - all the drinks come in a jar with a handle which is very "Cute". Then we were served home made bread and salad. The bread was fantastic and the salad, very good too. The main course has ribs, fried chicken, and corn. We all like the fried chicken the best. For dessert, they serve strawberry shortcake which is very good too.

In the mean time the show itself begin with some singing and dancing. We didn't understand some of the jokes but we still enjoyed the music, songs, and energy displayed by the performers.

Afterwards, we bought some rocks ($5.5 per bag - choose your own rocks - some of those are really pretty - like gem stones), then went to the pier for the boat ride. We just missed a boat, and we had to wait for the next one. While we are waiting, the electrical water pageant floated past. The pageant is pretty to look at and the music is fun (same as the one that passes by the Polynesian Resort). Finally, we got on our boat. While we heading back to MK, we were able to see the beautiful MK fireworks from on the lake. It was very romantic and my wife enjoyed it a lot.

By the time we get back to the Hotel, it is almost 11:00pm. We told our children: Tonight is special, you two can have "All You Can Sleep" tonight.

Day 9 - Typhoon lagoon

We get up at around 8:00am and had our time- and money-saving breakfast in our room before heading to Typhoon Lagoon.

We purchased our tickets from guest relations in the hotel lobby with our DVC discount and then went over to Typhoon Lagoon by Bus. We enjoy the Disney transportation system, since we don't have to drive -- plus we can do some people watching and enjoy the scenery more. We arrived at the park at 8:50am and had to wait for the rope to drop.

When we get in, we immediately headed left and found a table with chairs near the kiddy pool area. We didn't need a locker (I put our Guest IDs and some cash into a zip-lock bag and put it inside my swimming suit pocket). We did all the slides with almost no wait in the first hour, then went snorkeling with the fish twice (5 minutes wait). The salt water was cold but it was fun, my girl really like it. We also enjoy the family raft. My son need a life jacket (it is free and you just need to give the CM an ID Card to hold on to until you return it).

We played at the wave pool awhile, the waves are great. We all jumped up when the wave came in and landed 5 to 10 feet away from our original position. My son really enjoyed the wave pool. My girl like the storm slides and all the other rides except the Humunga Kowabunga which is too steep and too fast for her. Tip: Bring your water socks - this will save your feet from walking on all those heated-up concrete.

We played and ate at Typhoon Lagoon until about 3:30pm when we all become very tired. Since my son was so tired and the weather so hot (once you are out of water), we hired a taxi right at the exit. It took only 5 minutes ($6 plus tips) to get back to the Hotel.

Once back, both children were so tired that they needed a nap. We told them that we'd go to the Boardwalk for a walk and bring some food back for them and that they could watch Cartoons when they woke up. We ask our daughter to lock the room and to not open the door for any strangers.

We walk around the Boardwalk for awhile, then over to Epcot. I was so romantic with the music along the walkway. We walk all the way to France and purchase two glasses of wine and enjoy some street performance while we were there. We continued on to Japan and watched a very good special drum performance then purchased some Yakitori (BBQ chicken) and rice and tempura for the children before we headed back.

Both children had just woke up and we had a wonderful meal (with instant noodles and pound cake for desert as well).

After dinner, we went over to the MK to see the SpectroMagic parade at 9:00pm. We walked around the park awhile and got a very good spot near the bridge to Frontierland and waited for the parade. At 9:00pm the Parade started. There is so much light and music that it is almost overwhelming. All the dancing and all of the CMs with clothing with light bulbs are exciting to watch. We all had a wonderful time and went back to the hotel after the show. Tomorrow is our last day.

Day 10 - Last Day MK and Packing

We got up early to go to MK the again because the children want to ride Dumbo and Peter Pan again, we all enjoyed those rides then went to the Grand Prix (my son's favorite), Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. We enjoyed a character lunch at the Crystal Palace and took plenty of pictures with Pooh Bear, Tigger and Eeore. The food is good but not spectacular.

Then we went to Toontown and joined the line up for the "Famous Faces", we saw Cinderella, Snow White, Alice and Jasmine, they are all very much like the character, the costumes and makeup and the detail are great. Jasmine, for example, does have darker skin and very big eyes just like the Jasmine in Aladdin. Then we lined up again for Mickey's friends and met Goofy, Chip and Dale, and Donald Duck. My girl had an autograph book and asked each of them to sign and take picture with them.

Jessica asked, " Is it because all those "Famous Faces" are human and "Mickey's Friends" are animal therefore the signatures by human are much nicer (clearer and more detailed than those done by Animals)".

I said, "It's because those Famous Faces do not need to wear those thick Costumes and gloves so they can handle the pen much better than the Mickey's Friends."

My girl said, "I think it's because the humans go to school and have education so they write better than those of Mickey's friend."

After that, we went to the Marketplace and bought some gifts for our friends, returned to the hotel, and started packing. We finished up the last of the food that we had (instant noodles, pound cakes, cookie, fruit, crackers etc.) and the kids dropped into bed because tomorrow we have a very early trip back home.

I had the front desk print out a quick account summery and my wife did some laundry (it is free in Boardwalk Villa but cost $2 at Beach Club) before we, too, headed to bed.

We set the wake up call for 4:30am. Florida Town Car picked us up at 5:30am, Edwards is always on time and we catch the flight at 7:00am back home.
