Disney Club

The Disney Club is the new membership program that, back on October 14, 2000, replaced the Magic Kingdom Club (MKC) that Disney had offered for many years.  Like the MKC that it replaced, the Disney Club provides discounts on park tickets, resort accommodations (during select times of the year), at the Disney Store, and at various shopping and dining venues throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

The official brochure was sent to me in Acrobat PDF format, if have an Acrobat reader and you'd like to pull it up.  (Note: A copy of the letter that was sent to the Magic Kingdom Club Corporate Directors in September, 2000 about the new program can be read by clicking on this link.)

After I talked with Paige, I called the Disney Club Member Guest Service Center and received the following information:

The Disney Club includes several club benefits including:

  • Special discounts on selected Disney books, CDs, home videos & DVDs
  • Discounts on merchandise from the Disney Store some stores at Disneyland & Walt Disney World
  • Access to a special Members Only website containing dining, hotel, leisure & retail discounts across the country.
  • Discounts on select theatrical performances (I assume, on Broadway, in New York)
  • A special "The Disney Club" inaugural Pen
  • Member-only Coupons (for what, I wasn't told)
  • Special package deals on Disneyland & Walt Disney World Resort vacations
  • A preview of the new Disney's California Adventure park (which opens in the Spring of 2001) -- in other words, members will be able to visit the park before it officially opens!
  • Discounts on selected Disneyland & Walt Disney World multi-day admission tickets and annual passes
  • Annual subscription to Disney Magazine (and no, you can't "delete" the magazine if you already have one...The Disney Club considers this to be a throw-away, and not what you're actually paying for when you pay for your membership)

The membership fee (good for one year) is $39.95.

Want to visit The Disney Club's website?

The Disney Club maintains it's own site at http://www.disneyclub.com or http://disneyclub.disney.go.com/, if you'd like to learn more about admission media savings, resort discounts, and other program details.

Information on membership and details about club benefits can be answered by calling The Disney Club Member Guest Service Center at (800) 654-6347.
