Airport Transportation Service

I must admit that I don't have any personal experience with any Orlando area airport shuttle service.  As a result, I don't personally endorse any of them. However, I've been asked about these services so much that I've done a bit of research...here are my findings:

  • (Listed Alphabetically) American Luxury Transportation, Florida Town Car, Happy Limousine, Lincoln Town Car Service, Mears Shuttle, Selective Limo, Tiffany Town Car, and Top One Tours all have the reputation of being an efficient and reasonably-priced means for getting to WDW from the airport or from WDW to other area attractions.
  • I would recommend a call your shuttle service before leaving for Orlando to confirm their procedures and prices. It is recommended that reservations be made at least 24 hours in advanced to be picked up at your WDW hotel in time for your homeward-bound plane. A shuttle company can pick you up, up to two hours before your flight out of Orlando and drop you off at the terminal.
  • A shuttles can also take you from WDW to Sea World or any of the other major attractions in the area for around $10.00 per passenger. Of course, you must make arrangements with them in advance.

American Luxury Transportation

American Luxury Transportation provides special discount rates to MousePlanet readers. You can hire them to provide luxury Lincoln Town Cars or vans (depending on your group size) to handle the chore of driving you from Orlando International Airport to your hotel.

Typical rates run $45.00 one-way or $85.00 roundtrip plus gratuity in a Lincoln Town Car or van. All trips are express, non-stop (i.e., you don't have to wait for someone else to be dropped off first).

Happy Limousine

Happy Limousine is one of the most flexible of all of the companies listed on this page.  They provide transportation via luxury Lincoln Town Cars and Stretch Limos to people coming in at Orlando International Airport and traveling to surrounding areas.  They can also pick up at Tampa, Daytona, Sanford, Orlando Executive airports, and Port Canaveral (where the Disney Cruise Lines and other cruise ships are based) if your travel plans are a bit more complicated.

Happy Limousine's rates are very competitive, even though the vehicles and service are considered "premium."  For example, the cost to be picked up at the Orlando International Airport and be dropped off at your hotel (assuming on-site) is $80.00 roundtrip plus gratuity in a Lincoln Town Car.  In a ten passenger stretch limousine, the cost goes up to $170.00 (again, gratuity not included).  A Free 15 minute grocery stop is included in the fare upon request.

Selective Limousine & Transportation

Selective Limousine & Transportation provides an unusual array of services for an airport transportation company.  Not only do they provide min-bus, bus, motor coach, and limousine transportation services, but they also provide meeting and convention planning services.  In addition to airport transportation, Selective is happy to provide transportation to/from hotels and theme parks, to Cape Canaveral to make cruise connections, and to/from restaurants and night time entertainment in the Orlando area.

Although Selective focuses on the convention and large group business, they also provide services for smaller groups and individuals.  Charges are done by the vehicle.

Lincoln Limousines

Mears Shuttle Service

Mears Shuttle runs a continuous service (on a fifteen minute schedule) from Orlando International Airport to WDW. A one way ticket costs about $14.00 per person. Mears maintains a manned counter at the airport baggage claim area, near the car rental counters. The shuttle ride from the airport to WDW takes about 20 minutes, but depends on traffic as well as the number of passengers and which resort hotels must be visited to drop everyone off.

Mears also has taxis service available at a higher rate, of course.  If you have reservations at a Disney resort, you should received a coupon for $3 off per person. If not, Guest Services can send you one.

Florida Town Car

Florida Town Car is more private than Mears. Each vehicle is personally reserved for you when you make reservations. The car costs about $75, regardless of how many people you have in your party, so this might be a better deal for you than Mears.  Since FTC is not running on a regular schedule, you can have the driver stop at a local supermarket if you would like to buy sundries before getting to your hotel ($5 extra charge for this). Also, the car will go non-stop to your destination from the airport without making any intermediate stops.

Paul Dolegowski (Paul.Dolegowski@signet.com) provided some information on Florida Town Car including the phone numbers below. Paul said, "I highly recommend Florida Town Car over Mears. We used them on our trip last week. Cost was $70 round trip from MCO to WDW." Paul also gave me the phone numbers and web address for Florida Town Car.

Tiffany Town Car

The service provided by Tiffany is similar to that of Florida Town Car and, by word of mouth, is generally good.  Also, it is reported that their prices are slightly better than FTC and that they will make a brief sundries shopping stop free of charge.  Like FTC, Tiffany's car will go non-stop to your destination from the airport without making any intermediate stops.
