Accommodations Review:
|
Room was more than enough for myself & husband. We had two queen
beds to choose from and a separate dining area for meals. We were
on the 1st floor by the pool and it was extremely quiet every night.
We also had notification on our door about the night shuttle launch
with NASA for the 1 a.m. time so we could view it from the outside
lobby. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
The price and the military connections. Everyone was extremely helpful
and very friendly from the time of making reservations to the time
we checked out. |
Room # and Location Description:

Room 127 bottom level pool view |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
It was a great room. At the time we were there, there was a lot
of renovating going on. The hotel wall paper and carpet was being
updated. We were also told that it was in the works to add on additional
rooms for Shades of Green resort guests. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
We had bell service from the car. Someone was there to unload all
of our luggage and it was delivered to our room while we were checking
in. Check out ran very smoothly (the room was prepaid upon arrival)
and the bellhop picked up our luggage and packed in the car for us. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
We used SOG transportation, but found it quicker to walk to the
Poly and catch the monorail. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
The Evergreen sports bar and grill was great and had a really reasonable
price. A 1/2 pound hamburger w/fries was $5. Plus you could get them
to deliver with room service. The buffet breakfast and dinner were
ok (we paid for them with our package that we got). I would not pay
the $15 a person for the dinner buffet if I had a choice. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Shaped like Mickey (we didn't use). |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
First of all make sure you qualify for the resort. Second of all
book at least one year in advance to be guaranteed a room. We were
on a waiting list and got a call back in less than 3 weeks for the
time frame that we wanted to go in. If you can't get the time you
want ask about overflow hotels (WDW resort that offer military discounted
rates). |
Other Comments:
|
Buy your hopper tickets at the resort. You don't pay sales tax so
you can get a six day hopper plus pass for $270 (still cheaper than
with the MKC discount). |
