Accommodations Review:
|
Requested a king bed but had to settle with a queen bed and a set
of bunk beds. Very nice hand-carved furniture and African theme throughout
the room. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Husband and I planned an anniversary trip with an offsite hotel
but could not pass up the intro rate to stay at the lodge. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Room #2505 on the Zebra trail with a savannah view facing Arusha
Rock. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Perfect room location. Not far from an elevator, excellent view
of the savannah, and just a short walk to the lobby. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Arrived at exactly 3pm for check-in and had no wait. Express check-out
lets you leave without going back to the front desk. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
The wait at the bus stops was not long. Did not have long wait at
the theme parks for a bus to return to the lodge. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
The dinner buffet at Boma was OK but a little to exotic for me.
For quick meals, Mara was OK but it did not have the variety of the
food courts at the other resorts. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Awesome pool with a waterslide. There are two Jacuzzis. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
This is a beautiful resort. From the decor to the service, it is
a great place to stay at least once. |
Other Comments:
|
The intro rate was a good reason to try out this resort but I will
probably not stay here at the regular Deluxe resort rates. I thought
there would be more animals on the savannahs but we only saw a few
giraffes and zebras. The last two days there were only three Ankole
cattle (dubbed "The 3 Stooges") that stayed in one spot. You can see
more animals on the Kilamanjaro safaris. |
