Accommodations Review:

I know you've heard it before...but this is a wonderful resort for both the young and the young at heart!! Beautiful landscaping, cartoonish atmosphere, even an arcade! I was definitely delighted with the bus service (so quick!) and the food court (we ate there more than we had planned...it was just so convenient!) The rooms were on the small side and we had two rooms with four people each (three kids and five adults) But we still had room for lots of food and set up a nice little "camp" for snacks and breakfast. I would suggest a connecting room if you have more than one room.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Best place for the price especially with a large group!

Room # and Location Description:

Mighty Ducks 2727 and 2728 We had requested the Toy Story building (of course!) but were disappointed when we didn't get it. HOWEVER...we had NO complaints about the Mighty Duck building. GREAT POOL! (and much less crowded than the "main" pool) Very quiet! and we walked to ASMuR to catch the bus just across a parking lot!

Room Location Pros & Cons:

See above.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Everything seemed to go smoothly for us. I even had a cake that I had bought from the Boardwalk Bakery for my nephew as he celebrated his 12th birthday the day we arrived and they stored it for me until we wanted it! (which was wonderful!) My Mom and Dad did the check-in thing while us kids (and grandkids) played at the arcade!

WDW Transportation Comments:

As stated above, we had no problems whatsoever. There were only a few times when the bus we were on was full!! (First trip to Disney was on July 4th...and I remember waiting and waiting and waiting for the bus to come only to have to stand the whole way back to the hotel!)

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

The food court was convenient and really catered to kids. My nephews LOVED the freedom of getting their own soda in their refillable mugs (and made quite a few "creations"...a little Pepsi, a little Orange...) A few nights we went by the food court to grab a snack while the kids swam. Very relaxing. Also we had a wonderful "DISNEY" experience on our first day when we went to celebrate my nephew's 12th birthday in the food court. As mentioned above, I had bought a Boardwalk Bakery birthday cake (ordered two weeks in advance) for him and we were going to do the pizza and cake party thing. When we asked the front desk about bringing out the cake (which they had stored for me upon check-in), they went above and beyond: put candles in it, sprinkled it with MICKEY edible confetti, and had the head chef carry it out with lots of staff singing "Happy Birthday!!" My nephew wasn't the only one surprised! It was very heartwarming...and unexpected. The pictures of my nephew beaming as he listens to the entire food court sing to him are priceless...truly.

Pool Description / Comments:

Clean and beautiful. We spent a lot of time here since my nephews and niece are "fish". :) There was even a night when the temperature had dropped quite dramatically at the end of our stay (low 40's) and when my husband and I went to take a walk around the grounds, we noticed an empty pool with a lifeguard still on duty. I was impressed with that. We swam more in the Mighty Ducks pool because it was so convenient to our rooms and because it was definitely not as crowded.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Make sure you get more than one room if you have bigger kids and a large family. The rooms were snug but fine for our stay with five adults (ages ranging from 23-54) and three kids (12, 10, and 8). I can't imagine any kid not liking this resort! Spend time taking pictures around the resort (especially Andy's Room!) If you want to have milk and cereal for breakfast, make sure you buy the milk somewhere off-site. The little cartons of milk at the food court were very expensive. Be sure to get a pressed penny of the resort (our fave!) If you are going without kids (just a couple), I would suggest requesting a king-size bed room. There is a nice laundry facility on premises by the pool-bring your own detergent and dryer sheets and it's very easy to do while you and the kids swim.
