Accommodations Review:
|
The room was sparkling clean and bright and with a unique movie
themed decor. We were two adults, one 7 year old and a one year old.
We felt a little cramped after we set up the crib. We were never bothered
by noise and found the CM's were very helpful. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Wanted to stay onsite at the lowest price available. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Room # 7750, The Love Bug building #7, facing the parking area.
|
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
We didn't bring our own stroller for the one year old and had to
carry him to the bus stop and food court each trip. It's quit a long
walk to the pool, buses, gift shop, food, etc. Ask for a room in one
of the closer buildings. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
We arrived around noon and there was a very long line. There were
three rooms in our group, so maybe that's why it took so long. Check
out was no problem, we used the express check out. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
The All Stars Resort Bus Stops are the last ones at the parks, you
walk the furthest to get to them. The drivers were always friendly
and informative. We never had to wait very long to catch the bus,
but it would be nice if there were more than one bus stop at the resort. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
The food court tries really hard to be convenient, but somehow it's
more chaotic and annoying. It's hard to manage the food trays, hold
on to your toddler's hand, keep up w/ the 7 yr. old and get your wallet
out to pay. It's expensive and the food is mediocre at best, however
we ate there most evenings and mornings simply because it's the only
restaurant at the Movies Resort. The best thing I had there was a
meatball sub- very good. It's nice to have lots of choices, however,
and we also liked the refillable mugs. It was such a long walk back
to our room, we wouldn't bring them with us in the morning, we didn't
want to have to carry them back to the room before leaving for the
parks. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
My son loved the pool! The lifeguards were the greatest! They do
not hesitate to put your kid in timeout if they don't follow the rules.
My husband was horse playing with our son, tossing him in the water
and the lifeguard told him to cut it out! I thought it was wonderful
that they are strict about pool safety. The pool area was clean and
there were plenty of chairs when we went in the evenings to swim.
We had our dinner poolside one night. The Sorcerer Mickey spraying
into the pool was really neat. I just wished our room had been closer. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
ASK FOR A ROOM CLOSE TO THE FRONT DESK/POOL AREA! I felt sorry for
the people that were even further away than us. This is a great resort
to stay in for the price. However, if you need lots of space to stretch
out, the rooms are too small. The room size would be just right for
2 adults with no kids. |
Other Comments:
|
We would stay here again if it was just me and my husband. We are
going to WDW again in Nov. 2001 and plan to stay somewhere roomier.
The Toy Story buildings were really neat, even if you don't stay in
Toy Story, walk through and see Buzz and Woody. |
