Accommodations Review:

I decided to try the "budget" type of accommodations. I chose to stay at the All Star Movies Resort. BIG MISTAKE!!! I have stayed previously at the Caribbean Beach (1 visit) and Port Orleans (2 visits). I did not care for the accommodations at the All Star resorts. I felt like I was staying at a Motel-6. (No offense to Motel-6.) The rooms seemed smaller than the other resorts. The All Stars do not have a restaurant on site, only a food court. The All Star's are a multiplex of buildings therefore the property is huge. Expect to walk a long ways to the hotel front desk, shops, and food court. And transportation is another headache. Thank goodness I rented a car. The All Star resorts on the furthest south resorts on the entire Walt Disney World property. That means they are the furthest from all the parks with the exception of the Animal Kingdom. My next stay will NOT be at the All Star Resorts!!!!!!!

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

I selected this resort based on a cost savings issue and to try them out. Next time, I'll pay the extra dollars for the other resorts.

Room # and Location Description:

I stayed in Room #909, third floor of the Toy Story themed area buildings.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Fortunately for me, my room was in close proximity to the guest parking but not too close to the front desk, shops, and the food court.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check-In/Check-Out was not a problem. Normal hotel operating procedures. However, let me warn you now. For the length of the entire front desk location (meaning numerous service "windows" - so to speak) you will probably only find 2 maybe 3 Cast Members operating the front desk. This means the line can become pretty long waiting to be Checked-In or Checked-Out, and not the mention the Guest Services counter as well.

WDW Transportation Comments:

If you are planning in staying at the All Star resorts, GET A CAR!!!!!! The All Star Resorts are LAST on the route and are the furthest from all the theme parks with the exception of the Animal Kingdom.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Do not expect to find a restaurant at the All Star resorts. Only a food court. The main pool area has a bar.

Pool Description / Comments:

The pools are themed and offer large areas for pool time enjoyment. Also, know that the All Star resorts are extremely large properties so expect many, many other guests to be there as well.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Unless you are on a strict budget, stay at one of the other resorts. The amenities are nicer, the other resorts are smaller therefore you have a higher quality of service per guest - TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!!!!!

Other Comments:

When visiting the theme parks, Downtown Disney, water parks, etc., we all do shopping. It is really a nice perk to take advantage of the package delivery service. HOWEVER, at the All Star resorts, your package is delivered to the front desk, not to your room. Hmmmm....... I didn't have this problem at the other resorts!!!!!

(Editors Note, even among the other resorts, this is uneven.  At OKWR, for example, all deliveries are to the store - not to your room.)
