Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
We were going to stay at the All-Star Movies but there was no vacancy.
As a result we stayed at the Music and were very happy with the decision. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Broadway - Building #7. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
The pros... It was very quiet and only a short walk to the "piano"
pool. Because we were a family of six, we had two rooms which had
an adjoining door which we could open from the inside therefore making
it very easy to go back and forth inside rooms. Cons... A very long
walk back and forth to Melody Hall. Unfortunately, the food and drinks
as well as the bus stops were located at this end of resort. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Check-In was a snafu. The check-in clerk wrote down the wrong room
numbers (transposition error) which resulted in going to the wrong
building and rooms. To make matters worse, we had carried all of our
luggage to this room and had to carry back to car and then drive back
to Melody Hall. Now... I know everyone makes mistakes and this type
of mistake could happen to anyone, but unfortunately my 9 year old
son who is autistic could not understand why we were turning around
(lots of crying) and thought we were going home. Add to it the high
temps of 90+ degrees, well you can understand... The clerk at Melody
hall was helpful to quickly resolve the error but I did have to wait
in the check-in line again to speak to the clerk about the problem. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Excellent!! The buses were always on time and we never needed to
wait more than 20+ minutes. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
The snack bar was ok. We found that it was less expensive to pickup
pizza or fast food like McDonalds. However the refillable mugs worked
out great! Again, the only drawback was were we were at Broadway and
the long walk to the snack bar. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
My kids really enjoyed the piano pool at the All-Star Music resort.
Pool was clean, the area around the pool was also very clean. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
I think the convenience of staying on site at Disney makes it worthwhile.
Lot's less hassles than staying off-site. I've done that and hate
the traffic and parking headaches. I would recommend the All-Star
Music and plan to use it again the next time my family travels to
Disney. |
Other Comments:
|
When I called Disney reservations to make arrangements to stay at
the All-Star Music, I explained to them that I have two special-needs
kids (Down-syndrome and another with autisim) and they were very very
helpful and considerate in helping me try to plan my stay at the resort.
They did tell me upfront that they would try to place my family at
a building closer to Melody Hall but they could not guarantee due
to the time of year and the late time of my reservations. (The trip
was a last minute event). I appreciated the help. Trust me.... Not
all hotels are anywhere near as helpful! Thanks Disney! |
