Accommodations Review:
|
This will probably be my only stay at a Disney budget resort for
the following reasons. First, there were just too many kids. Before
I get flamed, this is not a criticism of kids. I just don't have any.
Using information from other discussion boards, I purposefully sought
out the All Star resort with the most couples/fewest kids. Second,
the in-room plumbing was just too noisy. I heard every faucet, shower,
and toilet. I'm a very light sleeper and needed ear plugs. Third,
the decor of the resort was exceptionally loud - all the buildings
just screamed tacky. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
I chose to stay at the Music because of the great rate code I found
on another website. I read on several discussion boards that there
wouldn't be much difference between a room at the Music and a room
at a moderate resort. They were right. If the look of the room interior
is your only standard for comparison, there is almost no difference.
I couldn't justify spending $40 more per night for a moderate resort. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Calypso, Building 10, Room 423. This is a non-smoking handicapped
room on the first floor. I had requested a non-smoking room on the
third floor of the Jazz building. I only got one of my three requests.
The room came with a king sized bed and complimentary fridge. Beware,
there is only a shower (no tub) in this room. Because there was no
edge to the shower, I flooded the bathroom every time I took a shower.

Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Garden view, excellent location - within 2 minutes walking of bus
stop and food court. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
We arrived at 9:45 p.m. No-one else was around. Check-in took all
of 5 minutes. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Didn't use WDW transportation from this resort. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
My first refillable mug. I used it every morning for coffee and
every evening for soda or hot cocoa. It was worth the money. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Pool was quite shallow. No towels handed out at the pool. You have
to bring your own towel from your room. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
Take a good look at yourself and take a good look at the resort
and ask yourself, do we match? |
Other Comments:
|
Bottom line: For the price paid, I got a great deal. The room was
clean and the castmembers were very helpful. |
