Superior! Upon arrival we were upgraded to the concierge (sic) level. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Second trip to WDW and wanted to try a new resort. Last time we
stayed at the Polynesian. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Room 5660. No views to speak of except for new construction going
up. Our room was situated right above the front door entrance to the
Beach Club and valet parking. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Pros: All the goodies that come with being on the 5th floor, i.e.
continuous snacks (you could make complete meals from what's offered)
and excellent service from the staff. The only con was the lack of
view. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Check-in was unbelievable - not only did we get the upgrade to the
5th floor, but we arrived in the lobby at 8:30 a.m. and was told that
our room was ready for us. We only came this early to pick up our
park hopper tickets and possibly store our luggage somewhere. Check
out was express. No complaints. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
We used the boat to get to Disney Studios and walked to Epcot and
the Boardwalk. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
We did the character breakfast at Cape May on Thursday morning and
there were plenty of empty tables unlike our last visit which was
in 1996 at the Polynesian. This was great for us because Chip &
Dale and Goofy made more than one stop at our table. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
The pool was incredible. Unfortunately due to time constraints
and then a thunder shower that last 2 hours we only got to use the
pool on our first day. My son who is 8 had a wonderful time on the
waterslide and I thoroughly enjoyed cooling off in the pool. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
Go make your reservations now! I loved it at the Beach Club although
I'm sure the next time we pay a visit to WDW will stay at another
resort because there are so many wonderful Deluxe Resorts to choose
from. If your trip is geared for spending more time at the Magic Kingdom
I would choose a resort that runs on the Monorail line. This location
is excellent for Epcot, the Boardwalk and Disney Studios. |

We had a fabulous time. We had the Discovery Magic Package which
allowed us to have some rather extravagant lunches and dinners. Well
worth the price. |
